That's the thing with "right is wrong, wrong is right" Qonservatives, anything harmful is labeled as good and vice versa....because they are sociopaths that operate by a completely opposite values system from normal people.

To elaborate, their objective is to cause as much suffering, to people around them and the world, so obviously anything that furthers this end would be considered "good". This is also why they keep bringing up moral relativity because it's the only scenario where they are the good guys for harming innocents.

The Republican party has always put on a show of dignity to be taken seriously, but deep down their base has been a large number of misinformed people who won't accept reality. What we're seeing now is that rot making its way to the surface and trying to take control.

Trump successfully created an impression of a majority of likeminded people, that even if it wasn’t real, emboldened people to be more open. While those who had no issue being open before Trump, became activists through growth of militia movements.

If Timothy McVeigh bombing happened under Trump, it wouldn’t have been the lighting rod it was at the time. That’s the difference between now and then... conservatives had to condemn... blaming Jewish lasers and pizza cabals, wasn’t popular yet... now they just embrace ridiculous conspiracy theories to avoid dealing with issues, they previously had to condemn.

I might not have made myself clear but we're saying the same thing. That pretense of economic anxiety was intentional misinformation pushed by right wing groups to sow fear and push the vote against Democrats. Our economy was on the up and up when Trump took office and he took all the credit for it. That fact that most of the Republican base fell for that lie and believed Trump would fix it is the point I was making. They didn't become misinformed in 2016, they've always been this way. From illegal immigrants to video games to rap music to evolution to just about anything. They make it a point to do the opposite of being informed. The Republican party for longer than I can remember has put on a front to look like they are with these people, but behind the scene they're just businessmen working the masses. With people like Greene, the crazies have made it to the top of the ladder. Something I'm sure the party didn't intend for.

And now the crazies are a threat. Trump has opened the Pandora's Box the Republicans have been hiding away. There is no going back to the way things were. We've seen to much of this ridiculousness out in the open and it go unpunished.

Another third of Americans basically think communism is anything they personally dislike. It's a bit like Satanism. Rock music, Satanism. Rap music, Satanism. Gays, Satanism. Toyota Prius, Satanism.
