Probably repeating most of their behavior from last summer. You know, almost killing senior citizens, assaulting children, assaulting journalists, kettling protesters so they can tear gas and pepper ball the fuck outta them for funsies.

I can't help but have tears of joy at the outcome. Since so often... nothing even happens. Feels conflicting since I know very well the chances of well.. progress is slim. What of all the recent cases? What of Taylor? Is anything going to happen in the case of Toledo? What about Daunte?

I never sit in relief for long at small progress, just can't.

I hear what you are saying, and mostly agree.

But take some time and just celebrate. Clear cut victories are few and far between, and a lot of people worked hard to bring about this kind of change. Honor the sacrifices and hard work that helped to bring about this result.

So just be happy for at least a day or two SOMETHING GOOD HAPPENED.

A bit off topic, but very much in line with your post: I listened to some of the defense arguments. The defense lawyer made it hard to NOT hate this guy with a passion, and to not hate white supremacists over all. HE MIGHT HAVE DIED FROM CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING INSTEAD. I will identify this line with white supremacists for a long time, and it is a reminder that, as you alluded to in your post, that the war is not over, a lot of fighting remains, and that white supremacists are even more dishonest and evil than I thought.
