It's a good thing. No card should be worth hundreds of dollars for in-game rewards. It's fucking dumb.

Because they don't give a shit about the after market value of something when they don't get a slice of that market. Why would they care how much some cards sell on eBay?
You're getting exactly what you deserve.
so its a game? real life has enough exclusive shit, let the old stuff in-game be there for anyone...

just my take. i think blizz is giving away what used to be collectors items because of the mass exodus wow has obviously had. they think offering these rare items to everyone will get them to come back.
TCG items no longer have value defined by Blizzard, as they are no longer in production.
They do not care about third party value. If anything, they would care to devalue for their own benefit.

Speculative value is never real value.
They are only doing what they please with what is rightfully theirs - and reminding people that such "value" as what some fools paid for it was never really tied to reality in the process.

Furthermore, I consider that Carthage Slam must be destroyed.
I don't much care for the scarcity of TCG items.

How disappointed is OP gonna be down the road when WoW shuts down their servers, 'uh?
I don't think Blizzard cares to much about value of things besides thier stock, the bottom line, and if it helps support them in one of thier copium highs when explaining why they are doing something people are bitching about.
The Spectral Tiger mount last time i checked was going for about 5k USD on ebay. They should add that to the online store just to tick off all those online auction people.
I'm hoping they add everything to the shop eventually. The only reason not to is maintaining some bizarre sense of "prestige" at the cost of easy money. Each one of the RAF, TCG, and CE items are already made assets that could bring in potentially millions in revenue each.

Oh no, your pixel monkey pet (that shares the same skin, model and even pet battle abilities as an in-game obtainable battle pet) might be worth slightly less because it raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to give medical aid to poor and destitute countries affected by a global pandemic.
I'd gladly see every TCG pet and mount go to being a stretch goal reward for a charity drive if it meant that a good charity received millions of dollars to help people around the world. It would mean that those pets and mounts did something more for the world than inflate some WoW player's Epeen.
You need a bit of perspective, buddy.
