And five years ago, the best I could get was satellite. I was/am ecstatic that I could get this. Like, please. I still remember vividly when I moved into this house (2014?), I called AT&T, and a rep said "Congratulations, you're eligible for dial-up!" and I'm like... what year is this?!

Shared internet in the building. Think we have gigabit to the building but obviously noone is uploading stuff as much as they're downloading stuff.

That sounds similar to what I had back home with my parents who lived out in nowhere. Except it wasn't as pricy. This current setup is "free", in the sense that it is a part of the rent either way.

Yeah Spectrum finally did something right and increased their speeds, but 110 down doesn't even really feel any different than what I had before, which was around 65.

It would be better yeah. But I don't think I could tell the difference in browsing speed. And having items to download requires the uploader to have insane speeds too, so I doubt I really miss out on anything. But yeah won't say no to more speed obviously

I had 250/250 but it was just overkill. So we dropped back to 100/100.

Exactly, unless you're depending on up/down-load speed, 100/100 is almost always more than enough
