trump supporters may overlap with them, but its far from an exclusive club.
It may be, but Trump legitimized it in a way, from the highest office in the land and with the entirety of half of America's political system backing whatever he said, that positioned millions of people to protest, and continue to protest, even the most simple measures.

With any other president, those anti-vaxxer science deniers would have been an easy roll of the eyes for anyone to ignore. But with Trump, saying that people should socially distance and wear a mask, as per physician recommendation the world over, is suddenly a "political stance." Because Trump made it one.
right, as i said trump made it more mainstream.
but people ignored them previously and the problem kept growing.
i've seen so many people spreading misinformation about vaccines who are far from trump supporters or care about politics at all. which is quite worrying.
there needs to be some kind of educational outreach for vaccines in general imo.

If they weren't politicized, that might be effective. That's why something like 40% of Republicans say they won't get it. There's no amount of education that will change their mind, if it's even capable of being changed, there needs to be a political movement within the Republican party and conservative media to aggressively promote the vaccine. And stop spewing constant lies and doubt about it like they've been from the start of this shit.

Until that happens I don't see much changing.

To take their view: Educational outreach? Sounds like DEEP STATE socialist government propaganda. MY BODY MY RIGHTS! MAGA!

i wouldn't expect much out of republicans; they don't change their mind till after they catch Covid (or their kid nearly dies of whooping cough).
but theres plenty of crunchy types out there absolutely terrified of: "there's TOXIC CHEMICALS with SIDE EFFECTS! Autism! Big Pharma!"

but yea i expect not much will change even after the pandemic.

Just like with masks, "not getting vaccinated" is not a simple matter of "well I accept the risks to me, so don't tell me what to do!"

There are people who legitimately can't get vaccinated. And giving the virus a larger pool of potential hosts increases the chance it will mutate into new strains that are more deadly, more contagious, and, guess what, might be immune to the vaccine others have received.

You're going to find very few legitimate nurses and scientists pushing an anti-vaccine stance.

trump supporters may overlap with them, but its far from an exclusive club.
I'd wager that Trump supporters greatly supersede them in number. And Trump ensured that almost every Trump supporter, and by extension, almost every GOP member, was an anti-masker, anti-vaxxer, and/or receiving nothing but ill-informed, abject lies on the pandemic throughout Trump's entire coinciding tenure in office.

These people would have been the same white noise nonsense that most people would have ignored without Trump basically making the identity of the entire GOP synonymous with "COVID hoax conspirators."

You are aware that my comment was:
A: Directed only at those who refuse to get vaccinated.
B: Really not a complement to them...

This is the exact reason why the Spanish Flu became as deadly as it was. The same stuff happened back then(anti-mask people, people rejecting science, etc.). It mutated into a far deadly strain that killed millions of people when it was all said and done. People need to go read at the numbers there. It infected a third of the worlds population at the time(500 million), killed between 20 - 50 million people estimated(some reports go as high as 100 million), you know basically 3% of the worlds population.

All it took for the Spanish flu to go from a mild flu outbreak to an extremely deadly event was one mutation in the wrong direction. Every time someone gets infected with a virus, there is a chance that it can go from being the same to an extremely deadly variant, like with the Spanish Flu.

    Saturday's quick report:

25,642 new cases; 499 deaths, bringing the total to 599,863. 16 states did not report. *sigh*

    Stay safe, folks.

It's time once again for MMO-C's second-favorite lawyer. Apparently people are saying "Trump should appeal the FB ban to SCOTUS" and therefore this is a lesson on the First Amendment.

Well on its way if this trend is prevalent throughout all the appointees

Though, I guess we shouldn't be surprised someone appointed by Trump is a massive retard.

Franklin Graham is apparently saying Trump may be too old/infirm to run come 2024 based on his current health/diet/energy. Hoping this is true, but I guess we'll get a sneak peak when he gets back to the campaign trail.

I would ask if you can be an alpha getting rolled around in a wheelchair, but FDR already proved that you absolutely can. I doubt Trump will be able to though, it seems the measure of "alpha" has changed considerably over the years.

Even if he doesn't make it to 2024 the GOP will Weekend at Bernie's his ass with a semi-competent (but beholden to them) VP to take over when, after inaugurated, Trump suffers a "completely unexpected medical issue" and is "forced to resign", leaving the VP in charge.

Why would they do that? That's the same thing they complained that Joe Biden would--Ooooooooooh.

Mmmmmmmhmm. I'm pretty sure a prerequisite for being part of the GOP is a part-time job in a movie theater so they can all learn how to be projectionists.

Since we can't call out Trolls and Bad Faith posters and the Ignore function doesn't actually ignore it. Add
    "mmo-champion.com##li.postbitignored"
to your ublock or adblock filter to actually ignore ignored posters. Now just need a way to ignore responses to them as well.
