What gives a 5* character away?

Looking at Klee, Diluc, Jean, Ganyu, Hu Tao, Zhongli, Albedo, Venti, Qiqi....

There is basically nothing different to any other character in the game.

I'd prefer some Samurai armor plates on her as well but it's not like 5* "shine" in this game or some shit.

Ugh, the "Sara" character would have been a way cooler design for the Shogun than what we're supposedly getting.

I actually like Yae's design more than I did initially, even if I still wish we'd just gotten a copy-pasted version of Yae Sakura from Honkai instead.

And I'm definitely interested in the Pyro Archer, as well. It...it would be nice to have a Pyro Archer that's actually fun to play. I'm sorry, Amber....

Are you talking about that incredibly over-the-top 02 wannabe with the huge floating chunks? That thing is so fucking gaudy and flamboyant and I hope they never step that far in the artistic flare direction in this game. Not everything needs to be amped up to fucking 11 in anime/eastern fantasy games. That's half the reason I hate them. I appreciate Genshin's more muted character designs.

Logically, Tohma and Yae should be 4*s, the rest should be 5*. We already have 5* pyro polearm and electro sword. And then we have 4* electro bow and hydro sword. Baal has to be 5* and Yoimiya is confirmed as 5*, so...

That thing is so fucking gaudy and flamboyant and I hope they never step that far in the artistic flare direction in this game. I like that. So far, the new mats seem really out of place. I do enjoy the idea of new mats for characters in an entirely new area. Just hope that means we get Inazuma soon, and that its a huge area. Hopefully each of the new zones are really sizable while being fun. Think Dragonspine went well for being a side area, though no real reason to go back unless its specifically for the boss for Eula.

Also wonder if we will see more tails soon and if this new character is a different race then Sucrose or Diona.

Well using Mei as a substitute for Electro Archon made sense, since she IS the god of thunder from Honkai.

Electro traveller is pretty much a tailor-made battery. Also shreds elemental resistances and has XQ-like ult, so will probably be a good electro applicator. Can it be they are actually trying to make traveller viable?

I'm unaware, as honkai isn't something I've ever played, but ty for the explanation. That is indeed the type of monstrosity I think GI could do without.

Yeah, I'm perfectly fine with homage being paid, but my point was the other poster seemed to prefer the top character's design. No thank you. It's ugly. Bottom > top, all day.
