That has no bearing on it being a more powerful system though, the fact that in the files themselves it says there's an upgradable dock which I can guarantee will do the DLSS upscaling since the base dock does not have the ability to have firmware upgrades. There will be another switch ofcourse but it's not going to be a pro it's just going to have a better screen and better battery life just like the Mariko revision that fixed the ability to be set into factory mode that the first 15 million switches can do and have custom firmware because of that.

I didn't realize Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp was announced. I'm maybe more hyped about that than anything, lol. Sweet!!!!

I won't speculate anymore on Zelda ports or a Switch Pro, there is no predicting Nintendo, if they have something in the works, I'll enjoy checking it out. I do still have the opinion and guesses about these things, but they are completely worthless anyway, so I think I will just wait and see.

Exactly and the fact that it was already datamined that there is a dock with firmware that is upgradable and the dock we all have does not have that ability. Answer is they're using the dock as an upgrade solution so they don't leave people in the dust.

AW reboot camp look great. I've read some places where people are bitching up a storm saying they modified the visuals as if they didn't look cute and cuddly to begin with.

Zelda is a little more sophisticated than their childlike IPs. Maybe they don't want to come across as elitist? That's what the PS5/XSX market is for.

Maybe work on BotW2 and SS during the pandemic took up too many resources to be working on something different. Could also be BotW2 may not see the light of day in 2022 so they are holding back on a OoT/MM/WW release for 2022 incase BotW2 won't drop then.

Usually in terms of art style. Monster Hunter Stories is a very stylized game, so I doubt it would look a whole lot better on PC as opposed to Monster Hunter World which has a very realistic art style and thus would benefit more from higher texture resolution.

Plus the structure of Stories lends itself better to handheld gaming. So if I'm out I can run around and hunt for eggs in some nests for 10 minutes. Whereas in a game like The Witcher 3, I would never really play that game in Handheld mode because it's more of an immersive game that I'd want to play in the comfort of my own home.

I will say I do prefer console gaming in general over PC. My work requires I have a powerful rig, but being at my computer all day makes it so I don't really want to play games at my desk unless they're MMOs.

If you noticed, Sakamoto said M5 is "the end of the arc" which likely means Metroids will no longer be the focus of the franchise going forward, that means the Chozo likely are the next step as primary focus and potential antagonists.

All I can say is, Fucking Finally. I've been theorizing for almost 20 years the Chozo would come around at some point and we finally get a tiny confirmation in that trailer that they still live.

I REALLY hope Nintendo actually doubles down on Metroid, and doesn't dustbin the franchise for another generation, the fact the demo announcers had to refer to Samus as "that Smash Brother's character" is gutwrenching.

Well so far the Prime Games are prequels, so it makes sense they would be involved in Prime titles.

As far as that dev diary said though, he said: "The series has chronicled the uncanny relationship between Metroids and the heroine Samus, but this game will mark the end to that story arc." Which likely means that this is the last Metroid title that involves Metroids as the plot focus/mcguffin that leads the story forward.

Without the titular creatures, any sequel that takes place after this will need a new focus theme, which really only leaves space pirates, the Galactic Federation, or the Chozo. The first two are not really interesting enough to lead a story alone, but the Chozo and their mysterious departure from the Galaxy is. Its the only logical step from here unless Dread reveals a new big bad/plot device to lead the franchise forward.

Completely different teams. Nintendo does not make those HD remaster in house, they are out sourced. If Nintendo wanted them on Switch, they would be on Switch.
