    carbot video is inadequate.

his "pretended friends" shuld have been dissapearing since cata - and the reason is not microtransactions only because they had to focus on their family lives and work .

but its portraying a typical wow nolifer perfecly well - everybody moved on with their lvies - and he wants to force everyone to manual grouping because its only way to force others to pretend to be his friends.

they never were. you were only one who thought they were.

rest moved on and focuses on real lives - not on pixels in computer game.

want friends ? find them irl .

and they agree, so they cut his pay by 50%.
There are people who could do BETTER than Bobby at his job for less than a million a year. These shareholders are getting conned. He has so very little to do with the day to day profitability that i can't believe they'd approve this after he was exposed the last time.

As a shareholder, this does kind of offend me. The game quality is going down across the board at ATVI (not just blizz, COD is front and center) and the ship is sinking and the captain is pillaging all the loot he can rather than steer the ship to smoother waters so to speak.

I don't know why you are trying to troll me. Wait, yes I do... pathetic. In any case, I have IRL friends. Lots of them. We were talking about IN GAME FRIENDS. If you can't follow a conversation, and then comment on it based on the actual topic, then don't comment.

Your entire comment was an attempt to come at me and say I have no friends. WTF is wrong with you? Did it make you feel good about yourself to have absolutely no effect on me? What a waste of space and time...

In game friends can become lifelong irl friends. I know I’ve made quite a few and even drove to Blizzcon a decade ago with them. Not your fault he can’t make real friends in game

But you are right and anyone who’s played WoW long enough to remember the glory days remembers the feelings of watching the WoW crowd dwindle away piece by piece.

And no, it isn’t just life came in the way, most of them game heavily still and would play WoW... if it was worth playing again. There’s a reason WoW classic tripled their sub count

Its rather likely that the shareholder's don't care about the game's and there quality and rather care about how much there stock is worth. On that front kotick might as well be discovering atlantis with the huge growth they have had.
All I ever wanted was the truth. Remember those words as you read the ones that follow. I never set out to topple my father's kingdom of lies from a sense of misplaced pride. I never wanted to bleed the species to its marrow, reaving half the galaxy clean of human life in this bitter crusade. I never desired any of this, though I know the reasons for which it must be done. But all I ever wanted was the truth.

The irony is they’d have had the growth regardless of if he was there or not. Cod, wow, guitar hero, and other franchises were just taking off

He’s just a guy who was in the right place at the right time. There’s companies out there with CEOs who do 100x more than Bobby and do it at 1/100 the cost

They might have gone up with out him but it’s not like we can calculate alternate reality growth.

What we do know is that he was a major if not the major mover on getting blizzard and that while he’s run the place the stock has growth enough to turn a 40m bonus into a 200m bonus. I won’t lie and say I know if other gaming CEOs have done better tThen that or contribute more but his success is rather undeniable when it comes to what share holders care about IE money.

Don't forget the official promo for the infamous SELFIE patch.

(when are they going to fix the bugs with that thing? It wasn't worth a content patch, but it's a fun toy)

Haven't been paying attention to the Shadowlands story... what's going on with Anduin?

i love seeing the socialist dumb kids in here.. Bobby is in charge of Activision.. which encompasses the whole thing.. gee what other companies and games are under the banner? Yeah he makes a lot. Yeah its a huge amount. Take your ideas somewhere else.

Carbot is awesome and the last actual blizzcon they had a panel of him. I went to that skipping over WoW or Diablo all other content, and it was the best panel there. A lot of people who love WoW are feeling the current state just doesn't keep people playing, or most of us have grown and now just do other things. Their most recent announcement with legendries of Retail.. oh boy. Welp its just not about playing for good story or accomplishing something great and if you do it gets negated.

Lord it stays hilarious to see people argue about big old Bobby like he's some evil guy for making alot of money.. meanwhile they ignore the overpaid CEOs of pretty much every other fucking company because it doesnt suit their pathetic Blizzard hating agenda. Nobody gives a shit unless its related to Blizzard and only then its suddenly the worst thing in the world

(and no, I'm not happy about the current state of WoW either)

    Indeed.

And now many nitwits are hailing Mike Morhaime's new venture as the second coming, as if it too won't be profits-driven.

    Your delusion is not reality.

The reality is - that it is exactly what I think it is.

Challenge Mode : Play WoW like my disability has me play:
You will need two people, Brian MUST use the mouse for movement/looking and John MUST use the keyboard for casting, attacking, healing etc.
Briand and John share the same goal, same intentions - but they can't talk to each other, however they can react to each other's in game activities.
Now see how far Brian and John get in WoW.
