In all fairness, the 45% was already on the boss in Mythic BEFORE this reset even started. Even though I want Echo to win, we can't say Blizzard hotfixed or catered Limit. This has ALWAYS been there.

How you know? Raider.io and WoWhead are saying hotfixed 2 days ago:

I don t get where people get 45% from, it's 48.5 or 49.5 same as heroic surely? We killed it on heroic 49.5% (could have been 48.5 though) and im pretty sure all the splits they did it was the same.

It's not about being more than a week at all...

It's about being literally 3-4% DPS impossible. Just the amont of ilvl a reset will give. Giving an incredible headstart to Limit.

Raider.io datamined an aura that says 45% on Mythic - seeing how she didn't die at 50%, it appears the aura is correct.

Hey man, it's you getting triggered because Echo was the first to reach that point and actually see that particular Mythic change. Would you say same thing if there was a sudden entire phase at 50%? Are we getting mad now that boss may last into 2nd week?

There is no way she dies this reset if she truly needs to be brought down to 45%, those extra 5% is what, like 6,5 million hp? with how tight it was just getting her to 50%, its not happening, even if they play it perfectly without any deaths at all.

yeah they had 5 near perfect below 52% pulls, no way they can pull off 45% with the same strategy. Unless they figure out a smart new strategy they were miles away from pulling off 6m+ more damage

if you do the maths, you need an increase of dps from 78% to 45%. P1 you cant get any more out of due to set HP. you have tiny dps windows in p2, you can maybe get an extra 1%. SO the only place you can pump is p3 and so you actually need 16% more dps in this phase, which is huge.

as i type they have realized this as well. Cant see how it can be done

Ye guys, I am sure Blizz is doing it to fuck up Echo.

Blizzard isn't beyond designing a boss with the parameters that it cannot be killed before they want it to die, they've done it time and again.

If they've designed it to go to 45% with the tuning it requires, they've designed it to not be doable in a single week.

That said, Echo is going to do their mail splits now, they're going to squeak out every last drop of damage conceivable, so they don't believe in "mathematically impossible" yet.

It isn't that outlandish, if tuning like this stays common Limit will basically always win as long as they stay level with Echo's skill level. It's probably a pretty big mood killer and sort of makes the whole race lose intregity because every race will have that 16 hour or whatever discussion that's obnoxious as fuck (but kind of funny to follow and bait people with on this forum)

On the flipside it's probably pretty hard for Blizzard to balance this without having people complaining, either it dies week 1 (too early, boss is weak, content is too easy) or they're in a cabal with Limit and helping the USA.

It still sucks for a race to be determinated by who gets a reset faster, if that is the case ^^

Just watched an HC kill video and the fight ended at exactly 50.0%. She lost another 0.1% while the fight was ending.
