Given that we get them for Renown... gated certainly. Farm? Not at all.

"enhancing" could mean anything atm. Making me curious

They increase the effects of the conduit. It's like you getting an extra rank.

That's how it worked on the PTR.

I assume something similar to AP when you maxed that out. A power increase to your conduits per level of renown.

Depends on how powerful it is...some conduits are flat DMG for class and rather powerful. They should let you pick what ones you want to upgrade but that undermines choreghast and daily grinding

I'm fairly certain it's 1 rank or 13 iLvl. Either way, it's simply a rank increase, so same effect as using a higher rank conduit.

If it makes your conduits go up a rank, and it doesn't go over the normal cap, that basically means we won't need to grind for the final conduit upgrades and we could still get them maxed out. Sounds really good.
