I don't think he is ceo. He is president of Blizzard which reports to the Activision board. It's not a given that he will be fired but given he is in charge of how Bliz has reacted to the lawsuit and has been at the company mostly in a upper management positions for 15 years he may be seen as too compromised by association to continue as president if Bliz wants to show that they are doing things a new way. Keeping Brack on board is not much of a way to embrace new standards for conduct. Something tells me that Brack would be ok though. He probably has about $20m stashed away already on top of whatever golden parachute he is given.

Allan did what he was supposed to do, put out a sob story. Fran however, her internal email... shes the first to go cos she is the easiest to sacifice due to her email.
On the other hand shes been with BLZ 4 months so shes hardly responsible for anything (except being a dumbass).

The leadership will stay, the internal "programs" against harassment and inclusivity will be focused for share holders.
Only hope is indeed the law suit by CA.
But soon after Mr Xi secured a third term, Apple released a new version of the feature in China, limiting its scope. Now Chinese users of iPhones and other Apple devices are restricted to a 10-minute window when receiving files from people who are not listed as a contact. After 10 minutes, users can only receive files from contacts.
Apple did not explain why the update was first introduced in China, but over the years, the tech giant has been criticised for appeasing Beijing.

Ya, for sure. We've seen ceo's of prominent companies removed over less imo.

    Lol'd.

Petitions are generally pretty useless, especially so when fueled by outrage mobs. Now if ya'll were shareholders...

Been saying it for years. Kotick is a malignant tumor on the gaming industry. He doesn’t care if people enjoy games, only about the bottom line. The sooner blizzard cleans house and breaks free from ActDivision the better. Besides legion and cata / mop depending on who you ask, wow and blizzard have been in a horrid decline since the merger.

Hell if anything that's your best bet to get rid of him...you could do a go fund me to have a bunch of people buy enough stock to get enough clout to oust him....

Though more likely you'll finally learn it's a lot more than just ousting a CEO to fix your game

If they impact the revenue or percieved revenue to come.

Not sure about this with BLZ.

Well ya, it's entirely to do with pr and how they are perceived in relation to a scandal unless the company is just hemorrhaging money and they are fired on that basis. I honestly think that Kotick is already positioning Brack to take the fall for him.

While I dislike taking Kotick's side on anything he's got a right to be unhappy with Brack and the rest of Blizzard management. Apart from this catastrophe Brack has had nearly three years to get announced content in the pipe and ready for release. He's not done that. Kotick would not be wrong to be up Blizzard's ass every day on how fat and slow they've become. The recent WC3 Reforged thing is interesting. Everyone is dinging Activision because Blizzard threw them under the bus when it's just as true that Blizzard over-promised, went over budget and took forever to get very little done for what was a relatively minor project (in comparison to their tentpole games). Everything else we know about is reworked stuff from the past. No new games, no new IP's. Nothing really new at all. Blizzard in all of their lethargy about finishing stuff has ignored markets like mobile to their loss.

Mobile doesn't make much of anyone here happy but it's a business crime for Blizzard to be as big as it is and not have a bunch of mobile titles out there for sale. Hell, they could have reworked Wacky Racers for mobile years ago. But, oh no....

The problem with getting rid of Brack—I don't know if anyone has yet expressed this—is one of being careful what you wish for. Kotick could just as easily send some suit down from Santa Monica to take Brack's place and that would be potentially much worse. When or if that happens I look forward to the months down the road when Brack becomes sainted just like Ghostcrawler has become.

Kotick isn't going to be touched. But there was already bad press about Blizzard before this so I could see Brack going, and Ion maybe being dropped as well. I don't know about the other department heads but I'm confident about these two being 'let go'.

It's not how this works. You're wasting your time with petitions.

Dodged that bullet. Sold a mint worth in February, just before it hit the all-time high. Rip anyone who bought around that time.

At this point I honestly don't care whether Brack stays or goes or what they do. When it comes to Bliz I'm higher on the Diablo universe than wow but without Brack getting the boot I'm not sure I'll buy any more of their products. I do think Kotick is part of Bliz's problem though. Not in terms of the harassment/coverup side but when it comes to game development.

    J. Allen Brack is likely not responsible for this. He was promoted just when this problem came to the attention of California. Blizz put him in the position to be a scapegoat in the future knowing full well he was doomed from the start.

Trump never went to Little Saint James aka Pedo Isle. The only flight he shared with Epstein was from FL to NJ in 97.

I sold my ATVI stock immediately after that article about WC3 came out and confirmed what everyone believed. If they were truly that incompetent in delivering just a little remaster of a 20 year old game, I have no hope in them delivering a full AAA newly developed game as a market leader. Looks like it took the boomers an extra week to process all the news.

They weren't going to remake something already in the can.

    But it can happen.

Didn't the studio who made How I Met Your Mother do an alternate ending for the series after fan reaction?

And Star Trek got a third season due to fandom.
No longer playing World of Warcraft. Just watching the house burn down.

Brack going away from a petition is very, very unlikely.

If you want Kotick gone however,it's time to grab a firearm and go meet him in person. Don't expect civilised ways to work here

"Removing leadership" and cancel culture is just as toxic, cancerous, and disgusting as the what's going on in the first place. Stop it. That's stupid.
