The stench of sociopathy is strong in this thread...
I'm not even going to bother addressing this entire post. Everything you said is incredibly toxic.

Lawsuits like this will pull sociopaths out of the woodwork. It doesn't matter to them that women are being treated like absolute dirt. Because if lawsuits like this win then that means more and more people will be held accountable for their actions and it terrifies them.
This thread alone? This forum is full of people who use words like soyboy, betamale, manduin, sylvanus etc. to demean and humiliate other people and their opinions on a daily basis. People who were sending threats to developers if they nerfed their favorite trinket. A community where, in large part, woman wouldn't even dare to speak on vent/disc because there would always be at least two shmucks who would start behaving inappropriate. A community where there was outrage because of 1 queer dragon and 1 trans char in 15 years, under the pretense they were being ''shoved in our faces''.
The outrage from a big part of WoW community over this scandal is peak hypocrisy and has nothing to do with the care or empathy for abuse victims, it is only to further their personal anger over whatever the developers ''did'' to them.
Says the whiny little narcissist who wants to shut people up for upsetting your feelings.
There is no vast conspiracy against women. Most of this "treated like dirt" is whiny Twitter Feminists screeching about their boss telling them to get back to work. If they were men, they wouldn't have bleeding hearts crawling out of the mud to worship them for being "victims".Lawsuits like this will pull sociopaths out of the woodwork. It doesn't matter to them that women are being treated like absolute dirt.
By "held accountable" you mean censored and forced to only parrot opinions and topics YOU find inoffensive.Because if lawsuits like this win then that means more and more people will be held accountable for their actions and it terrifies them.

Do you really believe that ALL women are that pathetic to be weak little snowflakes that can't take an insult/banter/joke? That's deeply patronizing.
Because it's not our fault that Afraisabi is a groper. Individuals are not responsible for the behavior of other people. The outrage from a big part of WoW community over this scandal is peak hypocrisy and has nothing to do with the care or empathy for abuse victims, it is only to further their personal anger over whatever the developers ''did'' to them.
Or, maybe you need to learn not to be an armchair psychiatrist. Not everyone is a weakling that cares about the feelings of others. Being pathetic like that will only allow people, actual sociopaths rather than your imaginary ones, to manipulate you. Ones like Anita Sarkeesian.

What does any of this have to do with "Marginalised groups"?
The legal undertaking is specifically about sexual harassment. Last time I checked, this wasn't an issue specific to minority ethnic groups or sexualities. Enough with the fucking woke shit, root out the bad apples and fix your god damn game
What exactly is woke about removing references to Alex Afrasiabi? I get being tired of seeing woke shit everywhere you look but this isn't that. They're removing references to an abusive individual. It's not taking away significant dev time. It's just changing some words in some quests and some NPC names.
all those "message to all employees" and "internal letters" are really not supposed to stay internal, AMARITE ??
this is damage control making more damage IMO, but I guess there is people ready to eat that shit like this dude is not just trying to save his ass.... just STFU, solve the problems and let the employees report about how good it is to work at blizzard now. that's the only opinions that matter on the issue, not what the head of the company want us to believe. talk is cheap for this dude ATM...
Not really, maybe in the sense that the employees really stands up for them selves. But the actual problem is equal or the same. Riots were in exactly the same situation with a lawsuit from California about pretty much the same issues. Ubisoft was even a bigger scale since it truned out that over 20+ studios they own had this problem and it was a total shitshow.
You should read the legal document that started this. It's about a lot more than sexual harassment.

"...money's most powerful ability is to allow bad people to continue doing bad things at the expense of those who don't have it."
Bit like holding a cocktail umbrella up over your head to try to protect yourself from that bomb about to drop on your head.
