Apparently the track has been specially designed and made to be the fastest ever, which is why we are seeing so many records being broken. Sort of lessens records if athletes are getting advantages like that.

eh, not really. There's been pretty regular changes to what athletes compete on for a long time. Just look at gymnastics, from just regular turf to a semi bouncy floor for the floor routines.

Three of those top four are 12, 13 and 15.

I cannot wait for Paris 2024.

There's some physics behind it that makes it so their smaller bodies can rotate faster. Which is why you saw one of em pull a 1018 in vert recently. There might be a balance with less strength though, but I don't know.

i know i slagged off the horsey sports but seeing that syrian dickhead whos sanctioned by the US for his assad links crash into 2 fences then fall off is one of the top Olympic moments for me.

Those speed climbers are insanely fast. My not quite 7 year old daughter saw them and started to climb the walls. Literally. Had to promise to try and find a climbing place to take her to soon to get her to stop.

Sounds like the national anthem should be MC Hammer's "Cant Touch this"

Keep an eye on Erriyon Knighton. Almost makes the podium at 17 years old and is already insane for his age.

Seeing Rune Glifberg skating at the Olympics when I was playing as him on Tony Hawks about 22 years ago is fucking weird.

Skateboarding is going to rival athletics, swimming and gymnastics for ticket demand in 2024. Such an amazing sport to watch.

Good shit US Basketball. I personally want SLovenia cause watching them against luka would be amazing. Also, would be a win win because wither USA wins, or Luka of my favorite NBA team wins

now if NBC could stop being actual cunts and show the games on TV instead of exclusively on peacock...

The Netherlands are going to break their record of 25 medals in Sydney. 24 medals so far, 7 gold, 8 silver and 9 bronze. And thats without the 2 guaranteed medals they've got coming (boxing and field hockey)
