We probably need a 2nd "Cataclysm" at this point, something that gives them an excuse to do a soft reboot and overhaul/update the old world.

As for a wish list I would love for race/class restrictions to be thrown out the window. Anyone who says the 'lore doesn't support it' can kindly be pointed to the magical flying light spaceship and the time traveling alternate dimension orcs and take their argument to them at this point.

The faction restriction for races can go along with them at this point. The player population for races isn't canonically connected to the in game race population so having 'a few' outliers from opposing faction races switching sides would be completely lore appropriate. Especially since this is the umpteenth time we've had to come together to beat down the latest big baddie trying to murder everyone.

Unlocking Flying- please just bring it back to LK rules, you have to play through the whole expac once on your main from the ground and then you earn the right to buy flying and buy a flying token to send to your alts. No more of time gated BS.

Making Old Content Relevant Again- Wow has been going for years and years now and its fucking HUUGE. But we never spend our time on more than 5 or 10% of the content at a time because there is no incentive to go back to old zones since it's seen as wasteful. Chromie is just waiting for a mini quest hub zone in a capital city to send players off who knows where every week for useful rewards or rep

I've got a few that I have a hard time deciding between for my top choice.

    1. Something that makes old content relevant again. WoW has years of content that is essentially irrelevant at max level. If they let you do mythic+ on an old dungeon or scale your level to a new old raid that cycled in every week, they'd have fresh content all the time. Not to even mention things like letting you scale to do old quests in a new game+ style system or old reputations or systems at the appropriate level. WoW really needs to do something to leverage the massive amount of content they're not using.

    2. Something to do with the old gods for story. I feel cheated out of my tentacle expansion with BfA. N'Zoth was done so dirty and I just really want something that respects that lore.

    3. Actual dynamic world content. Something that is repeatable out in the world and changes with player actions. It's an MMO for goodness sake, not an instance simulator, though I do love the instances and they're probably the best of WoW right now. If you had something that let you push back and forth against an AI faction for control of various locations in a zone where sometimes they'd control things and sometimes you'd control them and depending on who owns them the area changes, would be interesting. WoW world content sucks and they just need something to make things more enjoyable than just daily quests or world quests.

Less weekly tasks. I don't know, i guess it's because of the ppl who only play one game, but i find it harder and harder to keep up with the weekly tasks. May be it's my fault, because i feel the need to do them all but i am getting pretty burned out and i am longing for the days where the weekly tasks were doing raid and two dungeons. Once you had your factions at exalted, you were done. Now more and more daily and weekly activities get added to the list.

My wish is complete revamp of weapon system. (ideas still in progress)

    • every class can learn only 4 weapons from pool that differs for each class
    • pool contains only weapons class can use to full extent(like, no dagger to warrior, dah)
    • certain weapons open only for certain specs on certain levels
    • you get new weapon at levels 1, 15, 30 and 45
    • transmog available to weapons in pool only
    • different stat bonus for using each weapon
    • axes, maces and swords are separated to 3 tiers according to size and get new names. For example, sword -> sabers, longswords and greatswords.
    • 2nd tier weapon is usable with a shield or as a 2-hander. Only certain specs can dualwield 2nd tier.
    • Polearms renamed to spears, some of which are re-categorized to other big weapons.
    • New weapon types introduced: sickle and scythe

I will not share all my ideas for weapon distribution to each class since it will propably anger every transmog collector out there.
I’ll just mention warrior since it was the reason i started planning this system.

-arms warrior gets 3rd tier weapons and spears but can’t dualwield 2nd.
-fury can dualwield 2nd tier and can use a scythe but not 3rd tier.
-all three get 1st and 2ds tier weapons and fist weapons.

Feel free to ground and pound if you disagree.

1 - Light Vanguard/Army of light theme expansion
2 - Murozond and infinite dragonflight threats
3 - Political conflicts in inner factions
4 - Alt Friendly all account weid
5 - Revamp in Azuremist and Belfs maps ( could show some development in theses areas like Void vs Belves and destruiction of Sunwell and Mag'har expulse Draenei and Exodar need fly to SW)

I like the concept, but I can't help but feel that if something like this were to happen, it just goes to show how pathetic everyone else in Azeroth really is if we aren't there to keep shit like this from happening, and Azeroth deserves to stay corrupted.

Either an Undermine expansion or an Infinite Dragonflight expansion. Would love to see light and void dragons.

I can totally get behind 1, there is absolutely no reason your preferred class should have to suck for an entire tier, especially if tiers are going to be releases 1 year apart.

I personally don't give a flying fuck about balance, but when Mastery was introduced it was basically described as a tuning wheel, for exactly the type of scenario you want here.

I guess I'm just a little confused as to what this system actually changes? It makes certain classes/specs use certain weapons, which are now more specific. It essentially just limits the options for your character's equipment to some subset of what it used to be.

So what does all this do gameplay wise? The only actual change that this would make, other than taking away transmog options, is that you said there's certain stat bonuses for each weapon type. But what does that entail? How does this change my gameplay, or is the point just to require certain specs to conform to a certain class fantasy with regards to weapons?

It all sounds like it would make gearing more difficult. Blizz would have to make more weapon models each patch since there are more weapon types and each spec requires different weapons. On top of that, if master loot came back, it'd be a nightmare to get the weapon drop you needed since you now have a smaller pool of weapons you can use.

Can you elaborate on what exactly a system like this would do and how it might change gameplay?

Primary reason i want this kind of system for weapons is to clean up the current one. I just find it so "messy".
Some classes still have what i call "useless" weapon skills that they don't use anymore.

Take hunter. Official site says they can use swords, axes, daggers, fist weapons, staves, polearms, guns, bows and crossbows. New player gets totally wrong picture about today's hunter if they read this.
1-hand axes and swords, daggers, and fists don't drop in dungeons for survival and their skills like Mongoose Bite don't support them. You can find some 2-handers with agility outside polearms and staves but they are old and don't drop for survival, heck any hunter spec.
You are left with 5 options, 3 of which are used by BM and MM. Even the ah so famous dual wield option is now wasted on hunters. In short, Survival has only 2 weapon choices they can use in the newest content out of 11 listed. New player can find this out only if they read some guides or hear it from friends before actually logging in.

I want Blizzard to make it clear to new players of what each class really can do. Many classes of today don't really have that many weapon choices like they used to; so what i'm proposing doesn't change the situation for some of them. Unless Blizzard changes class gameplay to allow the use of any listed weapon, my system would at least make planning your game journey more straightforward.

About stat bonuses, i thought it could make a neat carrot to make specializing to a weapon more tempting. They would function as evergreen tuning knobs alongside classes since they are part of games basic systems that carry on through future expansions. They also lessen the stat budget for items. Having one constant stat may also lead to more interesting weapons down the line. gameplaywise, if weapon itself encouraged certain playstyle, it would make class designers' job easier. Blizzard already does this to some extent by locking spells like Mongoose Bite, Stormstrike or Rampage to certain weapon combinations.

That's all for now. Keep in mind that these are all my personal opinions and are by no means some grand ultimatum that all people must accept.

Jump 20 years into the future.

I'd want to see this as well. The way it could happen would be all the cosmic forces making a new pact that changes things, making time travel and all the cosmic stuff impossible.

I wish they would have left the Legion the way it was though, instead of defeating it, we could have just defeated the weakened Argus with the help of the other Titans and escaped. The loss of Argus would have weakened the Legion enough to stop the invasion, for now.

I also don't like how we basically killed off all the old gods. I liked them much more as all powerful cosmic horrors that even the Titans couldn't defeat so they had to be imprisoned.

There are a few things I'd like to see.

-For people wanting to get into raiding, it would be pretty cool if you could do boss fights with "x" amount of NPC's to see and learn the fight mechanics. There would be no loot as it would just be a training thing.

-Factions not locked to specific races. You start neutral and decide what path you want to take.(The Pandarian idea was good IMO). For current characters, they can add an option to start a quest chain that would allow you to switch factions. This would be locked for "x" amount of days, but it would be cool seeing gnome horde characters that are "traitors" to their own kind or vise versa.

-I'd like the leveling to be revamped where you don't exactly go zone by zone, but you pick a story and follow the stories patch and that story will lead you to different zones. This would not make the leveling as linear or just "Go where you want", but would be strictly based on the lore and your decisions that you make during your quest and leveling on which zones you proceed to next.

-Something fun to do like a battle royale(Probably not popular, but would be fun and pretty popular for awhile at least) Could reward fun cosmetic stuff.

-Legit player housing(Not Garrisons) where you can purchase plots all over the worlds and you collect materials to build your house and make different furniture, rooms, etc.

-A revamp on end game rep grinding. Not exactly sure how this would be done, but I did like the WOTLK tabard rep style. Allowing you to go into dungeons and raids wearing a specific tabard to gain rep for it. This would bring a lot more people back to random dungeons as for me personally, I just log in, do the dailies and log out.

These are just a few things I'd enjoy in the game.

I quit early in this expansion as I didnt like the direction the game was going. I do still check out mmo champ occasionally in the vane hope that changes are happening for the better. Having said that the changes that would make me consider coming back are....

    1) Wrath style flying.... Hit max level purchase flying then have a book you can send to an alt.
    2) No more borrowed powers, these flat out suck.
    3) no more garrisons or order halls or whatever... been there done that had enough.
    4) Back to azeroth with updated zones.
    5) No double gated content
    6) go back to the old legendary quest sytem, the new legendary items feel anything but

Which old legendary system do you mean? The Vanilla-to-Wrath "Ok, this guy is the GM (Or his friend), we'll funnel everything to him" system, or the expansion-spanning questlines of MoP and WoD?

I agree that the current "Grind some stuff and get a legendary"-system isn't very inspiring, but the "Lick the right boots in your guild and get a legendary"-thing doesn't seem very fun either.

IN the last few expansions, the entire game structure has been that of Blizz wanting the player to log in each day for roughly one hour, then to fuck off.

I hate this "forced" pace. Its killing the spirit of the game, its killing the enjoyment. Blizzards obsession with their KPI values are the absolute worst imo.

I want a game free of these gating's and forced paces.

I also think that weekly rewards are a bad system, i prefer loot dropping from the content im doing. There is nothing interesting in doing 10 dungeons you don't need anything in just so that a casino can randomly get you three chocies once a week.
None of us really changes over time. We only become more fully what we are.
