You pretend I don't know full well who I'm responding to and have no history with that poster. Which would be incorrect.
You also presume I see things in terms of "sides" and "allies". My fundamental stance is that the facts and reasoning don't change based on preferences, and that I am only interested in people understanding the facts and truth of a given situation, not in currying favor to try and attract "allies" by use of pleasant half-truths and obsequiously servile presentation. If facts and reasoning aren't enough to convince them (or any other particular individual), then that tells me I probably don't want them as an "ally" in the first place.
I also don't have a hell of a lot of patience for people bullshitting me, and I'll call it right out when I see it. If that makes me a "prick" and a "jerk", so be it. Again, I really couldn't care less what people think of me as a person; the facts and reasoning I present speak for themselves.
