This could end up being Arsenal's greatest ever defeat. The 8-2 game is at risk of being surpassed.
Ex-Mod. Technically retired, they just won't let me quit.

When Aguero said he wanted to run down his contract and go play with Messi, they all decided that was fine. Then Messi decided he’d do anything but take a pay cut to stay at Barca and went to PSG, and Aguero now has regrets.

We kept cavani so we didn't buy Kane or haaland this season, i know the price is a lot different but this is the same thing and obviously just a business decision without thinking of the consequences, how much will this put Bruno's nose out of joint?

Ronaldo would not have helped Vs Southampton, in the second half when we were desperate for a goal, Maguire and lundeloff were completely ignoring the midfield and long balling out, Ronaldo would have done nothing there. Southampton s midfield outplayed ours most of the game.

We need someone that sits behind pogba, the defence passes to him then he passes to pogba (not back to them two or three times) then he goes forward.

I'm happy to have Ronaldo back but we really need that guy. We had a similar debate two or three weeks ago and neither of us wanted a central forward in our top three places to be filled.

Spending money on players has never been a problem, it’s spending it on the right ones, something that was most spectacularly demonstrated under LVG. Its hard to know whether they’re treating it as an investment which would surely demand success, or treating it as a plaything which only needs to do ‘well enough’. For a long time it’s felt like the latter.
I agree the infrastructure needs a lot of work. However, investing in players is something I don’t believe they’ve failed on recently. Even under Van Gaal, he was buying the players alongside the recruitment team. If they were bad buys, it’s on them. The owners made the money available.

Oh I don't doubt we'll score more and probably be more sound defensively but we couldn't even win the midfield battle against Southampton so it's really worrying for the season as a whole. There was a lot of talk at the start of the summer how we were gonna play with 1 defensive midfielder and 2 more attacking (either Pogba and Bruno or VDB and Bruno I'm guessing) but now we're still stuck with Fred and McT or Matic. Kinda wish we would have strengthened midfield rather than go for a 36 year old Ronaldo.

Still a few days left, and the talk is they're still in for Camavinga.

McFred and Matic still needing to double team that spot is infuriating, and none of them can run the #6 position alone.

Bruno was instrumental in persuading him to come, there’ll be no noses out of joint there. The best players want to play with the best players, not be the big fish in a small pond.

Agree we need a centre mid, and by all accounts we’re still in the market for Saul or Camavinga.

Well that was a dramatic end to the half. Definite penalty and red card.

I really didnt get Chelsea players pushing and screaming at the Ref for 5+ minutes, A clear penalty, unfortunate but unavoidable red card. And Rudiger is an average player but a grade A piece of shit. Im sure hell be racially abused (again) before the final whistle right?

I know. Sucks. No fan of Rudiger. James on the other hand I am, and he didn’t make a scene either because he knew. Yet they’re both gonna get shit be sure of the colour of their skin

Rudiger has a record of making that shit up, which when its clearly a real problem doesn't help the situation. And yes James is the polar opposite of Rudiger as a Human Being

    Big big balls.

    Great resilience.
    Liverpool poor.

Damn so if Spurs win tomorrow we'll be top of the league for 2 weeks! Playing one of our bogey teams, but we should beat Watford.

If it does with Arsenal at the bottom, looking at the table for the next 2 weeks like its sports porn!

If Spurs dont win Man Utd top with a win at Wolves

Only a Spurs fan could get excited at being at the top of the table after 3 games

Chelsea defended well. Liverpool were poor and lacked penetration. Clear that they need reinforcements up front, but they won’t sign anyone for reasons only known to themselves.

I dunno West Ham fans were in full masturbation mode after 2 games. Shame there's no sardonic font that might have helped you out with my post, Im very realistic over hopes and expectations this season. I actually thought the first week of the season might be the highlight of it. But that you cannot see that Spurs top and Arsenal bottom might bring a smile to Spurs fans faces is strange.

One for the trophy cabinet I reckon!

I would imagine as a Spurs fan, if they win today, half the 'joy' out of being top of the league at the first international break is the fact that Arsenal are last with a 0-9 goal difference. The combination of your own team doing well and the rival doing crap makes it even sweeter.

Why would you even want to imagine being a Spurs fan?
