Play some single player games. I promise there's thousands you can play and they won't hurt you.
I kinda like multiplayer but I like single player WAY more. I like trophy hunting and it pisses me off so much that multiplayer/online only achievements are still a thing in 2021.

I actually made a spreadsheet of all the PS games I want to play and put it in a level calculator- once I wipe out the whole list, it's going to be at 126/494/1366/4687, 6627 total with a level of 432 or so. Which would probably be far higher if I could platinum an extra 32 games, not to mention the scores of regular extra trophies I had to scratch from my hunt.

Not multiplayer but I could really do with another Skyrim/Fallout kind of game at this point. There's no shortage of open world games, but there's nothing quite like Skyrim or Fallout.

It's true there's an enormous amount of crammed in content, but I have been enjoying myself the past few months. Truth is, D2R is going to suck up all my time.

Let's look at Blizzard games first, as that's the main focus on this website. Where is the next big game to bring gamers together? Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2 is nowhere to be seen. Shadowlands is literally so dead in my region I struggle to see other players in my covenant area and even queueing in LFR as a healer+dps role queue times is over 30 minutes long in prime time. Classic Vanilla is basically a ghost town, and Classic TBC, even with a new raid released, is just raidloggers.

I know there was some hype for the "alternative mmos" like FFXIV and New World, but that has died down as quick as it rose up.

Looking at steam top most sold games, it's just a bunch of indie games and the only multiplayer game on there is Battlefield that releases in 2 months.

I know you guys hate Twitch streamers, but looking at them also they are struggling to find any game to enjoy together. They are stuck with the established BRs, League of Legends and Valorant from the way I see it.

The future is not looking good either. Another CoD and Battlefield game is what we are looking forward to?

I don't know, might be a me problem. I just want to be part of a hype multiplayer game.

What multiplayer games are you playing and is it hype?
to be honest, I am much more interested in playing old games than in anything new coming out and it has been that way for years.

If I want to know more about new games, I go to the sites that review them. Some resources do it on a regular basis. For example, I like *snip*. Here you will find all possible reviews of the sites, games, bonuses and more. It helps a lot to make the right decision. Besides, you can even try the games without any charge or restriction.

FFXIV drops an expansion this month, has the highest player count of its lifetime, and the hype levels are really off the charts. A finale to it's story since the game's relaunch.

I know this sounds like a typical internet insult, but I mean this with a genuine sincerity: It honestly sounds like you don't know what you're talking about.

People stick to what they like to play, and that's fine. You're mentioning WoW, FFXIV, Overwatch, Diablo, Valorant, League of Legends, BRs, Cod/Battlefield, and all interchangeably. The number of people who actually play each, all, or even most of these games is pretty low. The crossover of these games being played by the same people is about as likely as us bringing in mobile games to the discussion. Most casual console players playing CoD/Battlefield probably aren't playing MMOs like WoW and FFXIV.

Sure, all of these are popular games and genres, and yes, within hundreds of millions of people playing games every day, several million do. Many to most WoW players were trying and enjoying LoL ten years ago, and if you were a WoW player who didn't play LoL, you definitely heard all about it when people in your guild were discussing or making references.

But gaming isn't as small as it was ten years ago, or even five. Unless you're only following the games of popular streamers, it really is a you problem. Otherwise, you're playing games you don't enjoy just because they're popular. Yes, popularity and others playing is an attractive component to games, but in all my hours of FFXIV I haven't seen anyone mention CoD/BF, LoL, Valorant, any of it. A more prevailing topic is usually the lawsuits and dirty laundry of both mentioned companies.

Why do you need hype? Just play a damn game you find fun wtf is wrong with you.

You are still in your warframe 95% of the time. All the things you listed are very situational gimmicks. I don't even know where you would need operator form anymore, k-drive is just a skateboard minigame if you like that stuff. Necromechs are for these gimmick mission that throw you out of the warframe but how many are there? 2?

I think the excessive grinding required for anything and the massiv power differences in the playerbase are much more of a problem for the game than some gimmick forms.
Still play it a lot though.

Maybe it's a good thing if you don't fall for criminals who design games with intention to be chased endlessly while also milking your wallet in the process and getting you hooked on more stuff. Very dehumanizing process indeed. It's an epidemic out there with amount of people doing just that. And Twitch streamers are not your friends, trust me.

    Battlefield 1 is amazing.

    I hope 2042 is good.

Video game addiction is one of the four horseman of depression and suicide.

Maybe just play whatever game you enjoy, hyped or not? That's a crazy notion, i guess.

Just play what you want if you find enjoyment and aren't annoyed. Do whatever you want and don't make others feel bad for playing something different.

Come to TF2 where despite being consistently on Steam's top played, hasn't actually got any updates for 1400+ days and counting now. Valve has completely forgot about the game while aimbots and DDoSers run rampant.

I was looking forward to it, then beta took that away. But DICE has come out and talked about I think every issue I had with it and now I'm looking forward to it again. Wary about specialists but it's whatever. Games change, so I'm curious to see how it works out.

A young kid somehow accessed his early download. Only 3 weapons max in each type. 3 AR's, 2 LMGs, 3 pistols etc. Huge let down for me.
