Which was a steam issue and EAC and not something specific to NW. Town layouts, "placeholder icons", and other issues are all problems. Just because you dismiss them as unimportant doesn't change that. I get what you are saying just fine. You are just wrong which is entirely different then not being understood.

You know a community is bad when moderators lock a thread because "...this isnt the place to talk about it either seeing as it will get trolled..."
i'm hoping you were being sarcastic, you realise that they are stuck with whatever hardware and resources they have right now, they aren't getting any new hardware in to ease pressure on things, nobody is, not even the likes of apple can get the hardware they need, it's got nothing to do with what you linked, it's just a fact of reality right now that while amazon has some impressive hardware at their disposal they are stuck with whatever they have, and that ain't changing any time soon.
If game play is the point of games period then why do games spend a lot of their budget on visuals? Strange right? You are wrong, plain and simple. Persistence of my reply doesn't make me wrong lol. It just makes you stubborn. Everything is part of the game and everything about the game can be critiqued. Just because somethings might be a higher priority doesn't mean lower priority things are misguided.

New world needs better quest tracking. Text that shows up on screen and says "12/15 wolves killed" or something. And something thst pops up and says "quest completed" would help too.
It's one of the snags of having the gameplay shift late in development from pure pvp to pvx - in PVP, if you are good at it, the combat feels pretty amazing with the current skill setup. Granted there are some balancing issues, but since the game really cares about large scale vs dueling that doesn't really matter too much.
I totally agree that for pve the combat is way too simple though. I find myself using a spear and creating minigames for myself out of seeing how many enemies I can dance around without getting hit rather than actually fearing anything.
Proximity chat is great. I started attacking a guy but he ignored me and was running a straight line to the nearest shrine. I called him a pussy and he started laughing and said he had diarrhea
IDK what Amazon thought during release of this game, anyway it's farming simulator with PVP.
If frequent patches won't add some additional content it can't come close to WoW
Was playing last night, and still loving the game only at lvl 24 and enjoying the journey. Combat is still fun and engaging to me playing tank tree sword/board. Even the quest stories started getting interesting, it seems like each zone has a mini-story to do? It does have some flaws, like the high-end materials requiring Iron, I get steel requiring it but once you move beyond that it's time to drop the low lvl materials. The thing about the game to me is it has a great core engine and gameplay PVE content can get better as the team gets better with quest design and stories much easier than improving a bad engine (looking at you SWTOR). One thing though I haven't had a single stupid escort quest so that's a plus.

This is actually really important to keep the crafting economy healthy. While you can learn all skills it's really not feasible to gather everything yourself (at least for people who don't have 12 hours a day to play), and that means there will always be a market for materials from every tier.

Dude, it was obviously intended as hyperbole, put the white horse away for a bit.
This. Plus (I assume this extends to all tiers of harvesting materials) you can downcycle higher level mats into lower level mats when needed, you don't have to go out and farm it all yourself. They should make lower level mats drop in higher amounts in high level zones if that doesn't already (doesn't sound like it), but given the ability to downcyle you can conceivably never have to return to lower level zones or worry much about farming low tier materials.
You both gather more with better tools perks and create more items per refinement with higher lvl reagents, so it does balance itself a bit there.
You do have to keep farming lower lvl mats though, you can't just farm steel/gold etc, they have to be made from upgrading the previous tier.
Tbh theres not really much pvp going. For a pvp oriented game(yes I know they changed to pve also), theres not a whole lot pvp going on. I have had pvp on since about lvl 15(now 31), and very rarely do I meet anyone else with pvp on. Theres the odd fort fights and ofc the war stuff, but besides that theres little.
And yeah, its nowhere near wow. For that to happen the future content patches gotta deliver.
