Blizzard Lawsuit Drama, Lightforged Paladin Mount, Sylvanas Novel Delayed Again

    Blizzard California Lawsuit Drama Continues
According to a recent article from Kotaku, the Blizzard lawsuit just keeps getting increasingly convoluted. The short of it seems to be:

    • Because there is possible ethics violations with some of the lawyers involved in the DFEH case against Blizzard, Blizzard has called for a stay in proceedings in its own case with the DFEH.
    • If the violations are true, they also request that the DFEH be disqualified from its own trial, meaning Blizzard would likely get out of it with a settlement and no justice for the employees would be reached.
    • In the end, this could only benefit the lawyers' pockets if it comes to pass.

Updated Legion Mage Tower Timewalking Spell Restrictions

Patch 9.1.5 PTR - Lightforged Paladin Mount
Lightforged paladins now have a unique Talbuk paladin mount with the Summon Lightforged Ruinstrider spell.

    Sylvanas Novel Seemingly Delayed Again

So the victimgs get some money, the best reward given the cirmustances and Blizzard goes back to work. Best of both worlds tbh, let´s hope for this to end up on such phasion.

Anything else would simply delay works on World of Warcraft to levels which they can not really afford.

In the end ActiBlizz will just toss some spare change here and there and the whole thing blows over as usual.

Imagine we had some crazies here thought Blizzard gets closed and shit like that. KEKW

Kotick 2 days ago: Yeah, it's true, we at Blizzard are disappointed at our own behaviour and we want to repent for it. We're apologetic and we want to truly show how remorseful we are by admitting to everything and turn the page.

*finds a tiny loophole that can be explored into denying anything*

Kotick now: SYKE WE DIDNT DO ANYTHING WRONG LETS GO BACK TO ROBBING EVERY CENT WE CAN FROM THE PLAYERS WITH OUR STUBBORNLY (IN)COMPETENT SCHEMES AND SYSTEMS

    *Laughs in Kotick*

Thank you, corporate defender. We'll be sure not to be mad at Blizzard for the mistreatment of their employees.

    Don't confuse wokeism with justice.

Also, if Blizzard gets off easy it's because the government has been doing illegal / shady shit again... like they often do, which is why you should -never- trust government lawsuits. I don't know any bigger liars and scum than the damn government. Willing to bet they have more cube crawls than any private business.
Yes, punishing sexual harassment is "wokeism." Time to rant about the government like a boomer. That'll make people forget about the Cosby Suite.

You can be mad about it but legal maneuvering is spectacular to watch/read about

This is what I'd presume. Fairly safe to say there's some plot points in the book that are related to plot points in 9.2. So definitely looking like a February release, at absolute earlier. More likely some time in March.

Also, leave it to California to bungle their own lawsuit.

Activision is a big company with a lot of power. Doesn't surprise me that the least amount of punishment possible is going to be the outcome. They know people in the state, those people know people on the case, state lawyers don't just make "mistakes" like this. It's being pushed away and California is now complicit in that.

The problem is California always ratchets stuff up to 11 probably for political purposes and then since they went overboard the whole thing gets tossed. Typical California prosecutors incompetence.

well CA really shitting the bed on this one, for no real reason. still that's only two of the.....6? other lawsuits going on against them? that shareholder's one isn't going to be swatted away very easily. but if for whatever reason the all end up with slaps on the writs for Acti-Blizz then the employees need to take matters into their own hands.

If anything, this is an indication that they either delayed 9.2 and/or they may be abridging the expansion (so they have to make last-second changes to the book so it lines up with in-game lore). Regardless, both point to one of the major problems with the game's lore: pertinent information is NOT in the game, and Blizz is making people buy a book to get a good understanding of plot points and motivations.
