Dont expect people to be intelligent enough to answer that properly. When asked and left to think these animals will believe they wouldnt accuse before knowing if someone did anything wrong, but in practice its the other way around. Because someone wouldnt be accused if he was innocemt.. right?

Don't be ridiculous. McCree is a name. If you like the name, that's fine. If you want to name your characters McCree, sure, go ahead.

But the name McCree showing up in Blizzard properties is an explicit reference to a real person called McCree who was part of a toxic work culture and was fired for it. Blizzard's well in their rights to remove references to such people from their IPs.

It doesn't make you an asshole for preferring the name or wanting to name your own characters McCree, it only makes you an asshole if you argue that they shouldn't be changing the name at all because you don't care as much as the people who worked with the guy.

i didn't realise that 'having a go', 'taking the micky', 'trolling' was a mutually exclusive concept to 'understanding the problem' i wasn't aware that people lacked the mental cognisance to fully understand and appreciate the underlying issues at hand while also being mentally capable of compartmentalising said issues and joking around with the fucktards causing said issues by shoving the issues in their face, once again i'm assuming this is an American problem because most people outside of the USA are capable (on the whole) of understanding things and being able to separate them from other things, yet it seems that Americans lack this fundamental skill in life due in part to the utter shitshow the governmental system has put you in, as well as your 'media' being a running joke keeping the populace docile and in their cages so as to not upset the 'natural order', while everyone outside the American bubble is just laughing at the absolute state of the place.

i wholeheartedly support this notion of keeping the name 'mccree' in circulation as a reminder of what is and has happened, and used as a tool to 'poke the bear' as much as an ordinary person can to keep things in the hivemind of the public because once it leaves the common forum and is not part of general daily life it gets forgotten about, extremely quickly.
