I dont know if you know but time allows many things.
none of butch cassidies victims are alive today but needless to say i would assume all of jessee mccree's are.

its why we can make jokes about 9/11 and stuff, time.
of course many people these days are still alive who were effected by it, but its 20 years old, and time allows wounds to heal, why 9/11 jokes are only semi niche.

It's not about being named after a "bad" person its changing a name for a specific reason and changing it to a name based on 2 worse people AND swapping the first and last name around is the name of a female pornstar which is sexualizing women way more than a dude tell a joke in a private chat.

And do we we even know what Jesse did if anything at all aside from guilty by association and a bad joke? Was he going around grabbing titties? I like to think getting the pests out who have inserted themselves into the game to begin with to be a good first step... Let's be honest putting self inserts into the game (unless you have died) is a shitty idea for when moments like this arise. I didn't know the guy behind the character, but the people in the company did. So if renaming him helps them who are we to complain?
