One rune = one week of timegating, we'll have to gather them all in order to enter Zereth Mortis
(or it's a new class, introduced in a final patch, Blizzard presents you, the Runomancer !)

Hmm, those sound effects remind me of huge machines powered up&working all around the player...
Now I'll be wondering about it all day >.>

Well, 24 hours before the reveal, now I guess we all compile our last minute predictions.
Or it's just random runes meant to look cool before revealing it's Zereth Mortis.
But you are right, each if the runes seems to be unique, so it could absolutely be 12 classes.
Making each tier set emblazoned with each rune would be something to differentiate them if the sets are going to use a similar colorscheme.

That’s what I was thinking. Guild Wars 2 is using these runes for classes since launch, that’s why I instantly was reminded of that. And it seems kinda fitting.

Tier sets is a good idea.
Sets for 12 classes.
Sets for each role.
MAGA - Make Alliance Great Again
Maybe we'll forge out class set ourselves with the power of the First Ones, in order to kill Zovaal.
Only question is why would Blizzard make classes important again? Nothing so far has indicated that classes are in the focus of the story like they were in Legion.
I guess you could stretch and say it's because of tier sets returning, but still seems like a real left turn when the story has been so heavily leaning into the covenant stuff.

I’ve read other ideas on Twitter:
12 + 3 in
12/3 for December 3rd PTR
3/12 for March 12th patch release
MAGA - Make Alliance Great Again
Something that catches my interest is that we have 12 runes in the tweet, yet only 8 of them are used in the circle piece. Why were those four left out?
