It's because this was an art showcase more than anything to prove that the devs haven't all necked themselves. It has zero to do with the actual gameplay past confirming a raid and tier sets and that there will be a new grind. They'll get Ion on to talk about systems before long.

I don't know, it still feels weird as usually Ion was always very prominent in announcing new content.

Not really. They all read pretty cleanly.

Priest, Monk, Shaman, Hunter, DK, Paladin, Warrior, Demon Hunter, Druid, Rogue, Mage, Warlock.

In fact, lots of them pull elements directly from existing tier sets.

It's entirely a PR move. The art team is the only team in Blizzard who's rap is even neutral at this stage and letting them do some fluff to announce the patch is a way for Blizzard to not take heat on an announcement. They still will, as it's very light on content, but I can see the reasoning.

The sepulcher is an 11 boss raid and Anduin is 8th.
Anduin is the final boss of the first week and 9,10,11 boss will be released after a week.

The how is moot. The important part is not to screw it up by showing them the way the Titans were completely demystified, first by Chronicle, then by Legion. The place is derivative, but in as much as it can set up a large framework of things we don't fully understand and stay in the background while they pivot to more mundane fare, as Ion has indicated in his last interview, then it'll do its job.

Honestly. The WoW art team has always delivered a satisfying job. Quite eager about the cypher system.

You’re right. This entire announcement was overall very inoffensive. I think the only negative things you could say is that it’s just more of the same, even the art style is just Shadowlands but happier. And that it seems very light on content, which is understandable, but for sure not helping the content drought that’s awaiting us.
