Uhh, Insomniac managed full ray tracing in Rift Apart and Miles Morales at 1440p 60 fps. Rift Apart at launch and Miles with a patch once they optimized their engine for it. Sounds like a CDPR problem not an issue with the tech because almost all of the RTX cards be it 2000 or 3000 series are better at ray tracing performance then the PS5 is(only a 2060 would be worse) yet Insomniac accomplished this within the first year of the PS5s life.

Reality is, ray tracing like everything related to CDPR is just an unoptimized mess.

Stop being so angry, kiddo; I was joking.

But hey, please do continue believing your own, very insightful, productions of insanity.
success comes in the form of technical solutions to problems, not appeals to our emotional side

Or, you know, it's the fact that CDPR had an open world RPG with a shitton of NPCs, lights and cars.

Of course it's easier to implement RTX in a game like Control that's level based and doesn't have 100 humans on screen. Or Metro Exodus, which is an empty landscape most of the time.

What the fuck do you think Miles Morales is?

Its an open world NYC with higher density then 2077. In fact the NPC and car counts in that game shit all over 2077 even on max settings.

And yet they can manage native res ray tracing in that game at 60 fps and 1440p on a PS5 that has lower ray tracing performance then a 2070. Who the hell even mentioned control?

The other game mentioned in Rift Apart is not open world but shits on both Miles and Cyberpunk in world density and crazy ass effects all over the screen and has crowds in the 100s in certain scenes again manages native res ray tracing at 1440p 60 fps.

    /facepalm

CDPR is just a publisher content to rush out a jank ass game, they don't have any interest in giving their devs time to polish it. When Insomniac can get the ray tracing performance out of the PS5(which is much better at rasterization than ray tracing) that they have there is absolutely no reason every RTX card above a 2060 should have issues with Cyberpunk ray tracing. That's on them for being shit with their optimization.

I dislike Cyberpunks issues as much as the next guy but lets be fair. CDPR already pushed the game back multiple times, they massively bit of more then they could chew and the development was a complete mess. After multiple delays and their develops stuck in utterly unethical levels of crunch for god knows how long they felt compelled to push it out knowing it would never be the game they wanted it to be and to stop throwing more money into a seemingly bottomless pit.

I wouldn't call them 'just a publisher content to rush out a jank ass game'.
It ignores such insignificant forces as time, entropy, and death

Delayed multiple times lol, yes because they had unrealistic release windows to begin with. Do you think 2077 had a longer dev cycle then the average AAA game? It didn't. In fact it had a relatively short one of only 4 years in full development from the time blood and wine was finished, everything before that was just prep work. Game needed another 2 years in the oven if they wanted to release a game on the scale they wanted with proper polish. Rockstar took 6 years of full development to finish RDR2 why is CDPR getting a pass for rushing out a huge scope game with only 4 years of full development? Either plan the game properly at a scale you can handle, or bite the bullet on what it needs to become reality. The publisher in this case threw the devs under the bus by wanting a massive scope game while not giving them enough time to get it done properly.

Is this a joke? This guy has 10 cars on his screen tops ( in New York lmao ). Maybe 30 people, all from huge distance so no details that you need to render. Also no hair physics.

Yeah no shit the FPS is 60 when all you need to render are gray skyscrapers that all look the same.

You are cherry picking I found a few spots in the video that had 20+ cars at a much lower height.

You need to check your eyes if you think those skyscrapers are all using the same assets, most are real buildings that exist in NYC and are unique. In fact if you wanted to pull that card Cyberpunk reuses assets throughout the city far more then Miles does. Go walk on the street level in Miles and if you think the density is in any way comparable to cyberpunk you're kidding yourself, it's not even close. Cyberpunk looks like a ghost town, Miles feels like an actual bustling city.

Yeah man, New York with 10 cars looks like a bustling city.

You guys can decide for yourself.

    Cyberpunk, walking around https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IyXMQBUH1F0

    Miles Morales, walking around https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tctml26DkCU

From these 2 videos, it's clear which is busier.

My bad, just posted first video in each result. Still pretty clear.

Is it possible to turn off that horrible motion blur effect when moving the camera?

At a quick glance I don't think cyberpunk is 'busier' necessarily in terms of x amount of npcs, but 99% of npcs in morales just walk with more or less the same animation in a much more broader open space on narrow npc walking paths that gives it a eerily empty feel while cyberpunk is much denser/claustrophobic and has a lot of extra window dressing npcs leaning against a wall talking on a phone chatting with eachother interacting with a vending machine eating at a restaurant etc which in the end makes it feel much more alive.

    "NPCs doing the same thing"

Cause some violence in Miles NPCs all run and scatter in different directions and react differently.

Do the same in cyberpunk everyone go's into the same ducked down animation at the exact same time like a fucking dance routine.

Theres some serious copium going on in this thread for the people that think Cyberpunk is good in any regard to world density and npc AI.

Cyberpunk doesn't even look good outside in the city, its bland and empty compared to other open world games. It looks pretty good in interiors which is probably why it should of been a level based game and not an open world lol.

Cyberpunk has very poor interactivity and reactivity of it's world in comparsion to most openworld games of even 10 or more years back (most egregious example is probably the (basically non existant) wanted/police system.

But selling me on a bustling cramped metropolis illusion on the surface, cyberpunk does it better.

    This is a joke right?

From the video Orange Joe linked look at this time stamp.

Show men anywhere in Cyberpunk that looks that bustling. This is either high level copium or vision issues.

The funny thing is Miles actually looks better now then it did when all these videos even came out. They increased the ray tracing to native res when it was sub native at launch and added the 60 fps ray tracing mode all while the same studio was making another entire PS5 game in Rift Apart. CDPR has spent the last year fixing quest bugs and doing jack ish to their visuals.

Show the video with ass on ass traffic and tons of NPCs in the same shot. We're still waiting, literally time stamped the video right here of you of this but you guys have failed to show anything as close to this in cyberpunk are are just inhaling copium. As someone that actually finished cyberpunk on PC there is no spot in the game even close to the timestamp I linked above. If Cyberpunk is a bustling city then they're all practicing social distancing inside and not on the screen lmao.
