The one real complaint there was about "empty shelves".

Surprising to see Republicans reject capitalism. Because that's what emptied those shelves. Capitalism. Not Biden. Failing to understand that makes you a sucker.

biden was just an all-around disaster in every respect. if i want a leftist politician in office again, i'd look after obama, he was charismatic as hell
Fox News won a court case by 'persuasively' arguing that no 'reasonable viewer' takes Tucker Carlson seriously

You really want Tucker Carlson or someone like him? Tucker's a joke and so is anyone who takes what he says seriously.

None the less, it was an issue when he was put in office, and is still an issue. He didn't cause it, he inherited it. He has the opportunity to do something about it, and at the end of his term if he does nothing, then Boooooooo, but he can't be blamed for it happening in the first place.

that kind of mentality is a product of china's horrendous actions in recent years and politicians stoking such fears of the chinese and nationalism onto the masses.

This isn't AT you. But if you actually hear anyone making that argument, please link them this.

no i know what i said. the wrong part is americans don't just take it out on the chinese, but lump in all east asians with them, which is pretty dumb/vile. As in, they don't give a fuck if you're korean or japanese, you're "the same" in their minds

It's an issue of capitalist economics.

Were you expecting the Democrats to cast off the capitalist system and implement a market socialist economy a couple short years, or something?

No, it's a product of racist people being shitheaded, ignorant, abusive fuckwits.

Literally not a whiff of anything else. It's entirely on the racist asshat for being so colossally stupid and evil that they're racist in the first place.

My cousin's wife is Chinese. As in, "born and raised in mainland China and a citizen there until she emigrated, with him and their son, to Canada" Chinese, not just by ancestry. If anyone's taking issue with her or her work because of that, it isn't because of China, it's because they're abusive, sadistic shitheads who're just looking for a way to justify their penchant for abuse to themselves. They're the kind of asshole who'd pull the legs off a squirrel "because it keeps eating the birdseed in the bird feeder".

They are evil, stupid people. That's it. That's racism.

True. But again, Respectable Media amplifies the problem by laundering Frank Luntz as a "Respectable, independent, quirky" pollster"" for like 30 years now.

He got his start saying that the Contract for America was super popular with 60% of Americans. He was later censured by American Association for Public Opinion Research for fudging those numbers. Also not disclosing that he was working directly for Newt and friends.
Despite numerous additional censuring for repeating the same lapses in professional ethics. Luntz keeps getting hired by large media for his "quirky" polls. CBS, a couple of years at MSNBC (overlap with Tucker). Also work for the Washington Redskins, finding focus groups that were totally unoffended by the team name.
HBO/Vice hired him in 2018 run a voter panel about the BEto/Cruz election. They never disclosed he was working for the Cruz campaign.
For the 2020 elections the LA Times hired Luntz for opinion pieces and more voter panels. The 2020 panels were comically bad, the Times wrote, "Luntz has conducted televised focus groups for major news outlets since 1996. He is not working for any presidential candidate or political party in the 2020 election."
Turns out he was working for Kevin McCarthy's PAC and living rent free in McCarthy's luxury condo.

Now the NYT thought it prudent to hire him to gather 14 “independent voters”.

The NYT mind as well ask dome 4channers to run some voter polls for them.

Biden isn't get much positive coverage from most news stations, because he's a terrible President.

It was capitalism and not the supply chain disruption due to COVID for the reason of shortages? That's the first I am hearing of this.

Out of curiosity, why do you think the current supply chain is set up the way it is? Do you think it has anything to do with the dominant economic system?

We've had at best some really minor issues with supply, up here. My favorite pet food company is struggling with supply, but I just switched to a different brand. Gluten-free bread is a bit hit or miss, but it always was and I'm not sure it's actually down to COVID at all.

The shelves that are completely bare down whole aisles like we've seen in some photos just doesn't happen up here; never seen it. So yeah; I'm comfortable saying it's American capitalism. Which would be a factor anyway, since it's the poor response to protecting employees and such that are creating these issues, and that's down to capitalism too. Those supply chain disruptions are capitalist economics being inflexible and prone to boom/bust cycles, and particularly, not giving much of a shit when the "bust" only affects the lower and middle classes.

Like, I'm a full-on Tommy Douglas-style market socialist. I would prefer to see capitalism abolished, completely. Do I think that's a reasonable goal to expect even in my country, in my lifetime? Nooope. I'm satisfied working to nudge us in the right direction.

Hell, I'd even go so far as to say it's localized American capitalism. I'm in California and haven't seen whole aisles of bare shelves since probably mid 2020.

Sure, but that's part of the problem.

Distribution isn't based on need of the locality, or on serving customers.

    It's based on profiteering.

Inequitable distribution of goods and incomes isn't a bug in capitalism. It's the intended outcome.

Biden added even further over 200k jobs? That's sluggish.
I think anyone is saying the economy is sluggish, they are saying quiet the opposite that it's doing too well and that inflation if rampant.
