The only "virtuous furor" is that this conservative blowhard whom many people mistake for being a source of legitimate news (despite an actual court case saying his program couldn't be considered that) is painting this inanity as some sort of grand piece of an invented culture war perpetrated by "the liberals" whilst simultaneously ignoring all of the actual bad stuff going on in the world, especially the bad things being done or that have been done by conservatives.

Tucker Carlson complains about desexualizing M&Ms to his audience. Meanwhile in oh, say, actual news we learn that members of the Trump administration conspired to hand fake electoral documents in an effort to overturn a presidential election.

Which is more important? Which is 'ol Tuck here choosing to talk about?

The care isn't about M&Ms, it's about the complete, intentional and malignant disconnect between people like Carlson who paint themselves as an ostensible source of news and about covering things that actually matter. the best part is he and his friends at fox all but ignored the massive amounts of sexual/assault/harrassment/lawsuits/settlements at fox when it all went down.
