Okay, then they did it because they wanted to make Alexstraza relevant to this expansion so they wanted to give her a new look. Much like they did with Jaina in BfA and with Thrall in Shadowlands (Though the Thrall one was kinda unnecessary and all it did was show just how old he's getting.)

I mean they did it because of the lawsuits. What i'm saying is that its a completely knee jerk reaction. They wherent sued because they had some funny jokes and a few females without winter coats on but they act like they where and now they will do anything to prove that they arent a bunch of pigs.

Not a direction connection, but if they put up a more scantily clad woman for the expansion, people on Social would certainly swarm over it.

After all, remember all those changes they made to the game in the light of the lawsuit?
They're weren't connected to it, but the lawsuit enabled the people who have an issue with those elements to get them removed.

Anybody who argues in favor of those elements just gets accused of being complicit "those" guys.

Just reserved my future chronomancer name in case that leak ends up being true all the way. A time based healer is all I ever wanted to play for years and I would come back to the game for it. Hopefully the 19th doesnt disappoint.

Because social media unfortunately dictates part of the public discourse and angering that portion gives something a negative perception, which companies obviously want to avoid as best as possible.

Nevermind the drama these people cause internally, it's not like employees that engage way too much in social media are rare at Blizzard.

I get what you mean. I know the full story of the lawsuits but the censorship is to save face. I was curious why Alexstraza's redesign wasn't part of the rest of the censorship in 9.1.5 but if it was to save it for the next expansion, then it makes all the more sense.

FF14 "Heavensward" runs in other tab; what a coincidence for those not privy to FF14: it is the expansion which revolves around nothing but dragons.

I would prefer a fleshed out Tinker class. I think Minstrel is ridiculous. But, well... it could be worse. These one spec classes seems to be them changing direction to an FF like one. It's not terrible, but why not just make 2 fulls classes instead of 4 micro ones? Weird. It fits FF, but it sure is not what we came to expect of WoW. Maybe they will add more specs in future expansions? Gotta see what they are saying in the reveal.

If all of this is true, it certainly ticks a lot of boxes and makes sense with the things we've seen datamined.

I do feel sorry for them that this has leaked. But, they should have dropped the announcement already. It's stupid of them to wait this long. If they revealed it in March, this wouldn't have leaked/been apparent. But, they keep caring far too much about world first races instead of what is best for the game.

The same people that decided to use a female character as the focus of the expansion for like 3 expansions in a row now.

People told you years ago what this company is doing and why it's doing it. You had a chance to voice your disapproval, but you kept telling people to shut up and that it's not that big of a deal and now you can deal with the shit that WoW has become. It's your fault. Enjoy another expansion with stronk female character where every male character is evil or useless.

I've always really liked the dragons in wow tbh.

Dragons are a stable of the fantasy genre. They are the most recognizable magical creature in all of fantasy and usually among the strongest creature in any setting.

I dont know why i have to explain the lure of dragons - it seems odd. If we can only use an archetype once wow is going to run out of interesting creatures very fast.

It signals a return to the classic fantasy that we all started playing WoW for, instead of "robot gods trying to reshape reality in heaven".
And if you dumb down every expansion to an enemy-type moveset, yeah I can see why you wouldn't get excited. But then I'm glad Blizzard isn't letting you design content.

Give me Dragons over robotic space whatever things we are working with and killing in Shadowlands.

I am a fan of dragons but this expansion has the "BFA" feeling, sort of that off-topic filler B-team expansion that makes little sense which blizzard does every once in a while.
I somehow dont see the void-lords/gods/kings being involved in this one (perhaps final boss related) and i am unsure what villain would the dragonflight revolve around.

Perhaps the Dragonflight ARE the enemy, at least some of them?
This definitely does not feel like the thing that sargeras/jailer was warning about, a couple of mortal lizards running amok.

You can call it "sexism" like other feminists/liberals who get their own dose of misinformation (like their republican/conservative counterparts) but that is not the case here. A few expansions ago they had Alexstrasza/Sylvanas walking around with their midriff exposed. It was only in the last few recent expansion that they made this change; Likely a quiet response from Blizzard regarding feminists/liberals constantly complaining about how women are being "objectified" if video games. Feminists/liberals complaining about why women show skin and then other feminists/liberals complain why they are not showing enough skin.

How about we treat people equally? No need to cover anyone up unless you cover them all up, and the other way around as well. Alexstrasza, Sylvanas, the jailer and thrall were all fine.

fingers crossed you get your chronomancer mate. I'd reroll a tinker myself. any other class I'd at least try. biggest letdown for me is if there's no new class at all.
