Seems like Germany will provide (maybe up to 50, but I doubt it) some anti-aircraft Gepard tanks alongside the planed exchange of military equipment.
Aren't these rather... difficult to provide proper maintanance and supply for?

The Moldovian separatists are blaming Ukraine for the recent RPG attack, because of course they are. The whole thing is similar to the start of the invasion of Ukraine. First Russia officials talking about the region, then badly done false flags and then Russia being 'concerned' about what is happening to Russian speakers there.
Russia has some 1-2000 troops there, along with 7500 separatist troops and there are also meant to be 20,000 reserves.
Plus the Russians just blew up the bridge to the sw of Odessa which is the only real link to the region to the SW. With that down the Russians might be planning a landing to the SW to link up with the Moldavian separatist region.
They are up to something, whatever it is.
It's a hit, there's no mention of damage, and if they land, with what? their ships don't have much in the way of air defences since the moskva went down, and I don't know if they can spare the planes?
That said, I noticed that strategic bottleneck as well, it could just be to prevent more weapons reaching Odesa easily as that is also the only supplyline that comes easily from Romania.
Koch Industry is finally pulling out of Russia.
What, uh, exactly is it a wake up call to?
That Russia is an unstable nation filled to the absolute brim with the worst kind of human rights abusers? One who's army is such a pathetic rabble of scum and cowardice that they have to waive their tiny nuke dicks around at every turn to stop the world from just erasing them from the map, and be done with their bullshit?
Not sure it's the hot taken Lavrov wants us to come out with, but ok
The Gepards are really not that advanced. They can be theoretically used for things like intercepting munitions, but really what they shine at is fucking up close air support. Helicopters, low flying jets. They can also interface with Stinger missiles, guiding the missiles with their radars. Then there's the fact that they very much can be used in direct fire roles, twin 35mm autocannons will absolutely fuck anything up that isn't a main battle tank out to a good couple of kilometre range. Like those things can shred Russian APCs like it's paper.
Russia's largest state-run oil producer, Rosneft PJSC, failed to sell 37 million barrels of its flagship Urals crude, traders told Reuters, as European traders continue to look elsewhere for energy products amid war in Ukraine.
Rosneft PJSC had opened up the oil for bids to unload from ports in May and June, but no European customers were willing to participate.
According to the report, some Asian refiners placed bids on the oil, but the state-run refinery did not accept them. Other Asia-based buyers had complained that Roseneft's requirement of 100% prepayment was too stringent.
Footnote: The standard practice for commodities is payment upon delivery because there are too many uncertainties.
The ratio of outgoing Urals seaborne exports going to Europe has dropped from 90% to 50%, Bloomberg reported.
India, on the other hand, has boosted its imports of Russian oil, though Asia may not be able to fully absorb the unsold barrels that were meant for Europe.
Notably, steep discounts have led Russian oil sales to India to soar since the war in Ukraine began.
Since February 24, Indian refiners have purchased nearly 40 million barrels of Russian crude. New Delhi has stressed the need for a ceasefire in Ukraine but has yet to condemn Vladimir Putin's actions.
It is a pretty small amount. India consumes 5 - 8 million barrels of crude per day. The two months delivery timeline is also a hindrance.
Keep in mind that there is no global sanction against Russia's oil and gas. The drop is strictly from self-sanctioning.Still, despite widespread reluctance to buy Russian oil in the West, Putin's exports are still reaching the global market. An increasing number of Russian cargoes are marked "destination unknown" as the industry looks for ways to keep business flowing during the war.
So far in April, more than 11.1 million barrels have been loaded onto ships with unknown destinations, compared to nearly zero before the invasion in Ukraine, per the Wall Street Journal.

Some news that somehow got missed in the hustle and bustle: The U.S., among other countries, promises to gradually reopen its embassy in Ukraine. Now this article doesn't go into it, but other articles on the same topic cite Russia's failure to push into Eastern Ukraine and incredible unlikeliness for them to try again as the reason they feel safe enough to do this; more or less calling out Russia's impotence and giving Kyiv a buffer against future shelling unless Russia feels like escalating things on their own.

In which Rand Paul defends Russia's attack because
Alaska used to be part of Russia, so I guess he'd be fine with them invading Alaska. You could also argue the countries they've attacked were part of Russia
Welp, Russia suspends Yamal contract with Poland (and prolly wit anyone else using it) on 27th due to no willingness to pay in rubles. So no gas. Lets see who chickens out first.

Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.
