How would the tech be any different?
They already made a mistake by not adding a new Bow class. Not everyone is on copium thinking that Hunter is the true Ranger class.
Polearms are melee weapons.
So will not happen.
Where do you get this idea that dracthyr "need polearms to feel authentic" considering the dracthyr are a completely new race that didn't exist before Dragonflight so there's nothing to say they're 'authentic'?
Also, as others have pointed out: this isn't Blizzard's forums. What you're doing is akin to me complaining about my boss during a family gathering and expecting that to change anything at work.

Intellect polearms are not in the game. And adding them into the game would mean only the evoker can wield them. Meaning, yes, it's a niche weapon.
Enough with the roleplay. Now is the time to SET. THE. POLEARM. FREE!!!!!!!!
I don't see why there couldn't be caster polearms when both swords and staves can be for casters

Druids and Paladins would like a word with you, as well.

Int polearms would be useable by 4 (Balance/Resto Druid, MW Monk, Holy Paladin) as is, 6 with Evoker already. So they aren't even bottom of the barrel.

Polearms could be fun if they add a melee spec. But I would be fine with claw, bite and fire attacks as a melee dragon spec and no weapon.
Melee dragoon could would be fucking sweet. Make them use spears in sync with claws, wings, tails and jaws. Maybe summonable spears instead of actual item.
