The racism and ignorance is strong with this post. Don't worry though...it's anti-white. So you'll be awarded points.

Yeah, Blizzard keeps SAYING one thing while doing another.
They hire based off of diversity. They even have a new Diversity officer. They say they aren't hiring based off of race and then in the same post admit that they are hiring based off of race. You've already been called out by me and others here showing you the blue post where this is 100% anti-white male. Any comments on that? Or are you going to keep glossing over what blizzard SAYS as compared to what it has been doing and continues to do....attack white men and arbitrarily push them out for the crime of being white and male?
I mean I understand that if your goal is to have some representation in mediums with very large casts like many game genres, some sort of spreadsheet just makes sense. But I cannot possibly fathom who thought this would be good marketing, phrase it as rating! and more importantly the fact that it is used during creation instead of considered a bit later in the process is at the very least peculiar. If you have made the effort to have some diversity in your development team, diversity SHOULD occur naturally. BIPOC devs will want to include BIPOC characters, queer devs will want to include queer characters and differently abled devs will want the same as well. So make an effort to have at least some diversity in hiring and make sure whoever is managing teams actually gives diverse characters a chance by giving them the tools to pre empt their bias.
Constructing characters to force representation is the worst form of tokenism. Without people who actually understand the experience of diversity your characters will probably just end up hollow tropes. But hey then you make a game that is better known for its representation on PornHub and AO4 than for its gameplay and content updates. . .
Your inability to understand what you read isn't our limitation though, it's yours. The person you're criticizing told you what the laws are. You taking something out of context or just plain not understanding is 100% a you problem and not a Blizzard problem, culture problem, or our problem.

Seems like a tool developed to be used by companies that lack diversity and inclusivity. This is a tool that sounds like it should be applauded by the likes of Xires (who Relapses responded to at the start of this page), since it will give companies free reign to hire nothing but cis white men with no regards to any diversity or representation as they can use this tool to check boxes to make characters.
The existence of a DE&I department isn't "proof" of anything my dude. Many large corporations have these. Blizzard's stated intent is to make sure that they're getting word of their positions out in the world in avenues which attract people from diverse backgrounds which may not traditionally be interested in a career with video games. The usual straight white males will continue to apply for the job and if they're the best candidate for the job, they'll get it. The fact that, maybe, just maybe, a few people from marginalized backgrounds may also get jobs is not proof that straight white males are being persecuted. (Thanks for the correction, @UnifiedDiversity.)
This whole thing is in your head.
Thing is: I couldn't care less, I just can't be bothered to give even the slightest bit of a damn. Please leave me alone, I just wanna pick a character and move forward, why would I care if my character was into riding a magic rod or how he was born as. I'm so invested in this, because it's constantly brought up yet I just crave for improvement of quality of the actual game.
My goodness me, can we please skip that part and be people? Just people?
If a genderless, pansexual ape with crossbow-rocketlauncher-hybrid weapon and 6 tentacle legs has a nice skillset I'll go for it, no need to make me feel guilty for - what exactly?

I thought hiring via race, gender, and sexual preference was illegal though? Don't you think that hiring for the sake of race, sex, and gender is what helped get us into this in the first place? Now movies are just garbage. The woke bring back old IP's and then bastardize it...Star Trek, Star Wars, Dr. Who, Wheel of Fire, and multiple other IP's. They've replaced great story's with political messaging. And if you don't like their politics....they call you every ism in the book.
They try to shame you, censor you, discredit you with buzz words. And even if you aren't white....if you don't go with their political ideology....they say things like "If you don't vote for me...you aint black" ~ Joe Biden while on Charlemagne "the gods" show.
You have to vote the way they ant you to, act the way they want you to, and do the things they want you to. If you don't....well look at all the censoring going on and who is doing it. What gets you censored? What gets you banned? They try and pull some moral outrage nonsense....the same people who scream out in pain...as they strike YOU.

The whole thing is in my head as they openly hire via race, gender, sexual, and political ideology?
Sure thing...they haven't been openly pushing this for years now. It's all "in my head".
The same people who love keeping people poor are all in this to "help people".
Sure looks like they've made everything worse...while they get record level profits.
Concidering we don't get much in terms of WoW until 2023 I guess it's slow news day for MMO Champion and we gotta farm a "Blizzard stupid" thread.
Nah, he's strong (and a mechanic) which is a common male trait. I.e. he also gets a zero there.
Just to be clear here, this diversity tool is completely ridiculous and I sincerely hope that whoever at the company had the idea to make, or push for its making, gets fired. They clearly aren't bringing anything good to the table.
