I'm kind of surprised, the only cinematic I couldn't stand was the Calia one. I really expected Blizz to fumble all three of these. The one about the new seed is actually pretty good, I think it's a good step forward for the Night Elves and their story.
The Anduin one is the most mixed for me though, because in a vacuum (or if we pretend that SL wasn't the narrative catastrophe it really was), it's really cool to see Anduin starting to mature and grapple with more human things instead of being the beacon of pure morality. Not that I'm complaining about his previous roles, I do think it was good to see that character in contrast to Varian or even Genn. But now it's time for that hard soul searching that everyone has to do as they mature and become an adult.
I think now is when we really feel the full weight of the failings of SL. These three capstones could be the perfect note to end the SL expansion on, you know the expansion where you travel to the afterlife. The problem is, the entire journey from Pre-patch of BfA to now has just been a wreck and nothing is going to stick like it should be. So now I'm feeling like, okay, cool, except there's nothing in the SL story to give any weight to these events.
What a damn shame SL has been, it had so much potential but just completely failed. I hope DI will be the step forward into a much better situation for WoW. It sorely needs it.
