They HAVE to know this will galvanize the nations overall population against them. Either that, or they think they have such a lock on power at this point there is nothing the public an do against them. Like maybe the think all the gerrymandering and ability to screw with the votes is enough to make sure that they can't lose power.

Can definitely see that, the Democrats largely seem to agree with them otherwise they wouldn't lay over so easily when it comes to them actually trying when they can.
