Why would their be one?

They are elemental spirits, manifestations of primal elemental energy.
Their 'seat of power' is literally the whole planet.

Draenor didn't have a designated HQ for its elements either, and their elements aren't as chaotic and unhinged as Azeroths are.
The chronicle map doesn't help either as that's just how the Black Empire segregated them.

AOTC no, but the mount will still drop 100%, which alleviates most players fears.

I was assuming a 9.2.7 push with the build number 44444, but alas, maybe just a 9.2.7 push? Internal test milestone? Who knows.

My current prediction (assuming they will finish Beta in time) for date is 15th November. I think 22nd November is latest possible date (if we want usual raid schedule and raiders spending Christmas with families), but this is Thanksgiving week, so not 100% comfortable for Blizz (it happened in SL though, of course with delayed release).

Vanilla also launched the week of Thanksgiving in 2004 so it shouldn't be ruled out as a date just because of the holiday.

The Achievement will be gone. But the mount will stay.

I wonder if they will remove it for 10.0. It will be nice to get it when soloing old content even if that likely won't happen until 11.0+. I wish Blizzard would have a "moose mount" event at the end of each expansion where they encourage guilds to carry people for free somehow. That was a pretty cool thing for the community to have happen back then.

The Elementals lost a war against the Old Gods so a map post-war isn't nessacarily where they had an HQ pre-war. So Ragnaros, or any elemental, could have been based anywhere. There just isn't much lore about anything to do with the Elementals or that time period on Azeroth. Chronicles brushed over it because it wasn't important to flesh out at the time but I think we will get some hints this expansion.

Since it is pretty clear the theme is the Primordial Azeroth vs Titan and it is implied the aspects get their power back somehow. I'm guessing the Titans don't come back and we will see more elemental/early lore defined. Maybe even some first one lore.

Just going off the precedent they set with 8.3.7, no particular reason.

The map does show where they were based though.

It shows their territory after the war the Elementals had with the Black Empire. So it is possible that they had a different "home" then the territory shown. We have yet to see a map of what the Elementals ruled over prior to the Old Gods conquering them.
