What? They literally announced it as a core feature at the exapnsion announcement. What made you think they weren't going to do it? Further, you don't know the full extent of dragonriding flying if you think that is all it is. I can assure you when you max it out you will be flying like regular mounts.

You don't wnat dragonriding. If you actually listen to comments of those that have already tried it, it is overwhlemingly positive. You are going to be wrong.
