'Basically this. This politics sub forum used to have a lot more right wing posters posing as centrists, or at least claiming to be. But then all they'd do is parrot talking points from Fox News, Stormfront, Yang, their racist grandparents on Facebook, etc. They eventually migrated and only talk in general off topic now, but most of them still claim to be centrists while sporting right wing dog whistles.

I think you somehow managed to be wrong with every statement in that post. Amazing.

That isn't actually surprising given PC2's posting history.

Have you ever left the US and lived abroad? (not as a tourist)

Just wondering where that experience comes from...

While I definitely understand the concern of siphoning off more "moderate" Democratic voters, I can't help feeling like anyone who agrees with Yang's talking points about the "evils of the far left" are the sort of people that either were already going to vote Republican anyway or weren't going to vote at all.
    This is almost absurd comedy.
Instead of how many Republicans you can fit in a closet, how many closets can you fit a Republican in?

Nah i've never lived abroad because all of my family and interests are in California. My family's small businesses are in California and they've not been negatively effected by Covid or the recent recession so we don't plan on moving.

Also you're wasting your time by focusing on subjective arguments because I can only be convinced by objective arguments. Please send PMs if you'd like to talk about more personal stuff instead of talking about ideas and solutions that relate to the topic.

Omg, subjective things don't matter because society is going to be improving the living conditions for EVERYONE. Many people don't believe this right now and I think it's because they don't actually believe in progress yet and they're being way too cynical about life...

People don't believe it because we can look at history and see that your claims are, objectively speaking, without any support or merit whatsoever.

You're making an argument based on a completely fact-averse belief you have, and expecting everyone else to accept that subjective and baseless belief as if if were an objective truth.

    And it's not.

You think this simple-minded shit because you've never experienced fear and deprivation, and the desperation it breeds.
You've zero experiences with almost everything that most go through and yet have the fanciful imagination that things will be better when things have demonstrably become worse.

Considering how much you and others argue against things that would make everyone's lives better, this is hilarious.

We have the resources to make everyone's lives significantly better.

You continue to advocate for extreme wealth aggregation at the top.

I'm guessing this will be the preferred party for podcasters and online influencers... before they go full DeSantis by 2024.

    BAsically the Joe Rogan Arc:
    • Flirts with and promotes edgy "anti establishment" candidates.
    • But is planning to throw it all in with the GOP.

Tom Perez's biggest fuckup was giving into Team Bernie demands for the DNC to allow candidates in by "Online CLout". It gave us Yang, Tulsi, and Williamson. Starved oxygen from better candidates with actual experience like Inslee.

Delegating your nomination process to Silicon Valley should be a big Nope!

especially when they are trying to appeal to be in between a center right party and a far right party.
