all it takes is a couple of disgruntled workers and the rail line between Vladivostok and western Russia is all but impassable
some gnarly vids of Ukranine fucking up Russian positions. That one showing how you actually use tanks in combined arms operations is good. Tank is pew pewing russians while marines move to assault positions in APCs and drones are overhead. Good shit.
Seems like Kherson isn't the only place Ukraine is attacking. They are also reportedly advancing all over the place, near Kharkiv, Izyum and elsewhere.
Russian milibloggers seem to have gone into Baldric mode.
Definitely wouldn't have expected the Ukrainians to be even able to push back so hard. Perhaps a final offensive before winter settles and grinds the conflict down to a semi halt, trying to take back as much as possible and bare their fangs before potential peace talks? Either way, good on them

The internet: where to every action is opposed an unequal overreaction.
There are some still going on about cunning plans, about how Russia actually wants to drag out the war by only using 1st gen rather than 3rd gen gear etc. Actually, I got my classic British shows mixed up (its what happens when you post at 2am after getting up to deal with asthma). It was actually Lance Corporal Jones from Dad's Army and his 'don't panic' mantra I was thinking of. There is a LOT of that at the moment.
This a decent run down of what Ukraine is doing. Ukraine hitting from many locations.
And Russian losses, according to Ukraine, stand at 50,000 dead. The UK says 25,000 dead and 80,000 casualties in total, which is still a lot.
Not for Russia, no.
Once more the Ukrainians prove just how impressive they are, this time in the propaganda war. The other day, Russian channels were full of clips showing what they claimed was the aftermath of a failed Ukrainian SpecOps raid on the nuclear power plant. At the time everyone thought it was staged by the Russians, as there was no blood, no wounds, the bodies were posed Hollywood style, soldiers had wads of US dollar bills in cash, were wearing Blackwater patches etc.
The Ukrainians have now just released the full clip, showing the 'dead' soldiers getting up at the end. (Or maybe they were just biolab zombies like Russia claims.) Seems the Ukrainians made the clip themselves, leaked part of it to the Russians - and they fell for it hook, line and sinker.
So that's what that was. I saw the video while scrolling through Reddit, didn't really read the headline, figured it was more war-porn and moved on. Still grains of salt and all, but if true that's absolutely hilarious that the Russias are so incompetent they didn't shut off the recording to tell the soldiers playing dead to get up.
It wasn't the Russians who made it - it was the Ukrainians doing so to troll the Russians. The Russians had claimed there was a fictitious raid on the nuclear power plant so the Ukrainians made a blatantly staged video of the 'aftermath'. They leaked part of it to Russian bloggers who bought it despite being so obviously staged. And now they have shown the whole video just to troll the Russians futher.

On that note of the Ukrainian MoD trolling the Russians, there's also this now.
Rob Lee has been following Russian sources reporting on Ukraine's Kharkiv offensive, and if half of what they say is true then Ukraine has kicked the fucking door in and the Russians don't have any reserves to plug the hole with. The Ukrainians found a weak spot and just smashed through it and are rolling on. Some sources put it at at more than a 20km advance in just 12 hours and there is nothing ahead of them.
