The Dutch getting an early lead, switching off and not waking up after several near chances only to concede gives me serious PTSD flashbacks from the early years of Southgate-ball.
Ex-Mod. Technically retired, they just won't let me quit.

We haven't looked strong in many years.

    a justified 3-1 loss. I mean 1-1 draw...
It ignores such insignificant forces as time, entropy, and death

weird to have dutch teams without a bigman up front. and without the cut inside merchant

Van Gaal show. Playing with Blind who hasn't played a proper match after his heart disease but his dad is an assistant. Giving Frenkie carte blanche because he's so good in passing, 99% of those passes are back to Ake and Van Dijk. Making Memphis believe that he is the best striker that ever existed. And then we have the goalkeepers. Leave Flekken at home, the second best goalie of the Bundesliga. Leave Cillessen at home, who was number 1 in 2014. Then take the elderly batista, the most talented goalie with a Dutch passport and a 29 year old who has played 20 matches in the Serie B and now plays for Heerenveen. And then you choose the latter only because you can say after a match, I made that guy, barf.

gotta put a lil bet on tyler adams to get a yellow card, feels obvious.

Here with about 250 USA fans and 3 England fans! I was expecting about 10 people to be at this.

Looking forward to this one, USA shouldn't be a push over and could even spring a surprise. Feels to me whoever dominates in midfield gets the win.

Hopefully England start strongly this time by getting the words to the national anthem right this time. Did anyone else see some of them singing Queen instead of King?

    Lets goooooo!

USA got the game slowed down a bit over the last few mins, which is good for them, for a while it looked like it could quickly turn into England giving USA the "Iran treatment" if allowed to continue playing that freely :P

    Did Conte replace Southgate?

  14. #334
This is why we need to move on from Southgate.

He's got rid of all the superstar shit and made them play as a team and we are a lot better because of him but he doesn't understand going forward. Maybe joint coaches like Salford had haha

Really disappointed in rice, he seems to hide behind people when the defence has the ball rather than being available, same with Bellingham but I don't think that's what he's there for like passing structure should be stones rice Bellingham. It's like watching utd last season.

If Phillips is there I'd put him on for sterling maybe

    America have been great

McKenny seems like a player that whenever he has the ball his teammates shout get rid

2nd half have been a bit "meh" both teams lack the extra 'something' in the last 3rd. I do wonder if the ref forgot his yellow card at home though, had a few professional free kicks and stuff that could've earned one ^^

Timely reminder of why I don’t usually watch England men’s games. Can’t string 3 passes together and none of them can run.

Geez probably the worst game in this wc so far.
