Somehow despite Argentina losing to Saudi Arabia, and Germany losing to Japan, Poland still feels like the biggest disappointment to me, that's quite impressive in a depressing kind of manner.

It's really because of the joke that is the coach. The guy has one of the best strikers in the world, a very good goalie, Zielinski playing the best season in his career and some other perfectly adequate players, and he comes out and claims that "he can't turn water into wine", Poland is inherently unable to chain a few passes and can only play the crudest of anti-football possible. All this while the previous coach, even though he quit the team in the worst manner possible, has proved that Poland can indeed play highly offensive and interesting football (only Germany, England and Netherlands had more goals scored in qualifiers btw). So yeah, it is disappointing, but then noone could expect much from a coach whos biggest career achievement is avoiding a sentence for match fixing.

This should have been VAR'd, no excuses. It was apparent that Mbappe was gaining speed like crazy, noone would have come close to him. Obvious red.
