Yeah let people get their high ilevel rings with low effort and then nerf it when players found out as a whole. Great stuff.

I am fine with the fix but rep already gained should be then adjusted accordingly and if it lands lower than the required for the ring, the ring should be made not usable until the rep level necessary to unlock it is reached again.

These fixes are more than welcomed if Blizzard thinks they are needed, but should be retroactive.

They probably don't care because it encourages people to play the expansion ASAP for fear they'll miss something like this by holding off on playing it.

yeah 100% true, but that’s not how Blizzard’s max cost effective cheap shit mentality works. what happens is this:

    - dev: shit, we fcked it up.
    - PO: revert it!
    - dev: but to offer some fair and high quality gaming experience, we have to lower it for all players!
    - PO: what does this mean?
    - dev: we also have to lower it for players that already earned it.
    - PO: what does this mean?
    - dev: we have to implement code and do stuff, that disables ring retroactively, when exp is too low.
    - PO: what does this cost?
    - dev: 100 time and 100 money.
    - PO: what does it cost to just revert it, without the fair and high quality shit?
    - dev: 5 time and 5 money.
    - PO: ok, that’s cheap enough. and still better than doing nothing. just revert it! nothing else!

THIS is what happens in those situations, for companies valueing cost effectiveness higher than quality. This happens on a daily base and for 100% sure also in such a company, Blizz became. and this is just one of thousand examples. even when a tiny one. they all sum up to „cheap shit“ when looking at it from a customers perspective.

you paid for cheap shit wow product , you got cheap shit wow product. news at 11
