I don't think so. Zelenksy himself has commentated recently it's unlikely it's going to just end once Putin is gone.

Show me specifically where he said that and what he said, because I'm almost positive there's some hugely important context you're ignoring.

Ukraine is putting russian losses in the last month at 20000. That's dead, not casualties, though given russian medical care there isn't much difference. Unless you are a blonde female tiktok propagandist and then they drop everything to rush you to specialist care in Moscow. Word is she has a shattered knee, meaning she probably won't be walking properly again. She found out.

But 20k dead isn't unrealistic given how they were throwing waves of bodies at Soledar, plus other videos of unsupported infantry attack across open ground against entrenched Ukrainians.

You know...if we take standard ratios of 3:1 for Wounded Vs KIA, you'd end up with nearly 500k russian casualties since the start. Ukraine claims 120k russian dead, so that would translate to about 360k wounded...

Wagner is said to no longer be able to get peeps from prison as the PRISONERS regard it as a death sentence to go fight for them.

Another round of mobilization of 500k would barely fill the gap. Russia's demographics are collapsing before our eyes...well more than they already did.

Except dead to wounded for russia is probably more 1:1. The amount of videos of them just ignoring wounded comrades, even when not under fire, is staggering. The indifference to others is hard to understand from a western mindset.

It's not difficult to understand at all. Reiterating Russians have ideals of strength imprinted into their very being: if you're wounded, dying, or otherwise no longer in a position to fight in a war, you have proven your "weakness" and only the strong move forward.

Social Darwinism, the weak being left behind, so on. That's what Russians believe in.

And that is why they are failing so hard. That kind of attitude is antithetical to promoting loyalty, professionalism, teamwork and all the other traits that act as major force multipliers.

  8. #27888
all three of those concepts are alien/unknown to Russian soldiers and mercs.

True...but that doesn't actually make it better so to say. It just makes it so that everyone is looking out for themselves and damn their so-called "comrades".

i mean its not this is just some nonsense you are putting out as usual. they are poorly trained thats all.

casualties are probably at 25k dead - 75k wounded and its generally parity on both sides.

most of the huge numbers are propaganda numbers.

Jake Broe said in his latest video that the reason they are suddenly strictly enforcing trimming of beards might be due to russia planning to use chemical or biological weapons and the gas masks needing air tight seal.

Would this change anything for russia? Can it be countered?

Didn't the US say that it is a red line for them?

The moment they get BTFO by western coalition air forces gets ever so closer.

And he also mentioned that the Kadyrovites were throwing up a stink about it. So, yeah...

    Not really.

The Ukrainians have been using re-purposed Soviet-era recon drones for deep strikes on key targets (strategic bomber bases, so far). But, as Aviation Week makes clear, such an attack on Moscow is possible.

It would be more of a Doolittle Raid stunt than a serious strike (and I think it is unlikely for a variety of reasons), but even the possibility can make planners at the Kremlin sweat.

It is also possible that it is some sort of security theatre, or even that an increasingly paranoid Putin is worried about air defense during a coup.

Using prohibited weapon is the exact sort of thing that could get NATO directly involved to end the conflict. That is the very last thing Russia wants because it would mean they forces in Ukraine get bombed into the stone age in short order.

it's because not only is he asking/demanding more frequently, he clearly sounds more desperate in his inflection every other occasion.

That last bit is why I cast a lot of doubt on people claiming Ukraine is absolutely destroying Russia on the battlefield. I know a large part of it is propaganda to boost morale, but I suspect it's way worse out there for Ukraine than we're led on to believe - moreso as time has passed since the last major shipment.

You do realise that body language and voice analysis is pseudoscience, right?

Boris Johnson made another stealthy visit to Kyiv.

There's a disparity between how UK people seem to hate this guy like he's Trump, but Ukrainians - especially civilians - love him. And on another note, given how Boris has made the most frequent visits to Kyiv of any major politician, I am surprised Russia hasn't tried to do something about him.

Like what? Blow him out of the sky? Assassinate him? Get a grip, russia doesn't want the UK in the war.
