    Stop Pugging and Complaining

Honestly, the title says it all. WoW is a social game, stop playing with randoms and then complaining about random things.

Form a guild or a community, invite people who are cool and are good, team with them again. Rinse repeat. It is not hard people.

If a dungeon run goes well and you get on with someone, try to get them as a contact and team with them again!

You shouldn’t treat the people in your group as a throwaway commodity, and then complain you don’t know anyone to team with, and that randoms suck - it’s just stupid.

You can do it people, you can be social and make friends and have fun in this game!

I don't get to choose who I play with, but I didn't enter into that conversation until you started complaining.

But I can't force other people to be social.

Challenge Mode : Play WoW like my disability has me play:
You will need two people, Brian MUST use the mouse for movement/looking and John MUST use the keyboard for casting, attacking, healing etc.
Briand and John share the same goal, same intentions - but they can't talk to each other, however they can react to each other's in game activities.
Now see how far Brian and John get in WoW.

No, everyone in this game is a stepping stone for my own success. I treat MMOs like I do the stock market, scalp profits and move on to the next play

Its only western MMO players that want to turn MMOs into forced socialization cesspools instead of treating them like mercenary style experiences that they should be (and how Asian players play)

You dont have to be friends, or be extremely social.

You set a goal of what you want out of the game, and you find similar people with that goal, and you have to be a decent human being or at least respectable of other people and their time.

People that complain the most, are entitled brats that dont respect other people and they are simply not good enough as they think and no one gives a fuck when you arent good enough.

No one cares that you want to do M+ at certain time tables that fit YOU only, thats pugging..Did you declined? Too bad, you know the fix to that? Your own key, be a meta class, and dont be bad so people wont leave your keys.

I have 15 other people, we raid for certain things, there are times where i dont want to log on to raid on a Sunday every now and then, but i suck it up for the general good of things.

Cause i prefer raiding 40 hours in a span of 2-3 months get our AOTC, do glory and then taking raid break as a guild, than raiding 150 hours with irrelevant pugs and wiping to get the same thing.

And my M+ is generally, send a message on Bnet or Discord earlier in the day, arrange a run or two on specific time, and do it with whoever can.

No one is forcing you to play a multiplayer game. If you don’t want to socialise with the people in your team that’s on you, but you’re making life harder for yourself, for no reason other than sheer stubbornness.

I'm a social in a Cutting Edge guild, plenty of people do M+ but not at times that really suit me and they are mostly way ahead of me in key level. I can't commit to any schedule because of work, kids, life etc. so it's just luck if someone is doing a key in my range and I can do m+ at that time. I'm sure there are plenty of people like me. I pug because that way I can play whenever I want, but it really sucks if people are rude and toxic, because then that one key I had time for is ruined.

Absolute BS. Nobody's forcing you to anything.

But I guess if you act in game like on this forum, it may be hard to make friends...

Perhaps not, but much like dating you put yourself out there enough time and eventually you'll find a few good players and stick with them.

Unfortuently part of creating a social circle is wading through all the people you never want to socialise with again. But if all you do is don't try and complain then you'll never get anywhere.

There's also a lot better tools than LFG to find a consistent team. Like Discord or Guilds.

It's as easy as that. All you have to do is ditch your life outside of the game, so you can be reliable for your guild. Responsibilities and/or family? Fuck that bro, Sun through Thu from 19:00 are raid nights.
Also, how is grouping with randoms not a social thing?

you defeated your own argument. It's a social game, stop being an asshole to people. Doesn't matter what format your content is. Normal, heroic, raid, mythic. irrelevant. Just because some content is harder doesn't excuse childish, shitty behavior. If you can't play a difficult game without losing your cool, you're part of the problem.

That sounds more like a high-end guild description, tons of guilds that have ad-hoc raids or once/twice week on a weekend.

Same here. The inner circle of my guild is pretty hardcore and plays above 20+ keys. They also blindly know each pull, mob ability and shortcuts. On the other hand, these people also play all day and have few other activities or commitments besides jobs.

I, on the other hand, am pretty busy in RL and can really only schedule our raids regularly. For Mythic+ I lack these fixed slots, which is why I am clearly behind my guild mates. And honestly, I don't expect them to cut back on their own activities just to drag me through.

So I'm left with single runs after the raid or just pugs when I have time spontaneously.

I generally don't complain, as I'm aware of all the advantages and disadvantages of my playstyle. But M+ could use some improvements to make it less hardcore and punishing, at least in lower keys.

For example, it would be good if the keys were not depleted (e.g. up to +15), so that you can start several attempts if something goes wrong. In raids this is not a problem.

Maybe it would be cool to be able to restart a key by vote. Especially if individual players consistently mess up and have to be removed.

In general, I think the system is fine.

He is right tho. Getting mad about what other people do in WoW and then making a post about it on a forum that hasnt been relevant for over five years is the most childish thing one could do.

But where is he gonna find the echo chamber of equally bad players to agree with him?

The official forum is full of weirdos discussing if the elf ear should be 5 inches or 5.1 inches and why the egg should have 5 pointy ends and not 4, those are a different kind of terrible at the game.

WoW is a simple game, set a goal, go for it, did you realize your skill/life doesnt allow it anymore for various reasons, pull back or quit.

So much drama about it that it gets so boring to read all these years.

Or not... I have the vast majority of of people on my friends list - have not played WoW for ages.

Nah - WoW is a solo game with a spot of group content whenever I get lucky.

Challenge Mode : Play WoW like my disability has me play:

First, consider that emphasis part. Remember that M+ (like raids) is a group effort so the ways to minimize the negatives (i.e. rude, toxic, etc) is to make sure everyone's goals align. Maybe don't take that "meta" class player because unlike you, they are only after score and less tolerant of any mistakes (including their own).

Second, yes we all have lives outside of WoW so then maybe the better approach (when you have such a varied schedule to play) is to make friends with as many folks as possible. Get some west coaster, east coaster, early morning, and night owls added to your friend list. This way there's always some players you can run with regardless of when you hop online.

Well if you choose to play it as a solo experience don't complain about the toxicity of pugs. Your the one choosing this path, I have never complained about pugs because I have never not played with friends/guildies/found good people. If I ever do pug it's such low content that I can just carry.

    1. It isn't a choice.
    2. I didn't - that was the OP that did that.

Stop pugging, instead you should create a guild with random people...aka: pugging people into your guild.

    Makes perfect sense!
