The US is really trying to compete with the Arabian peninsula to see who gets the most GP.

If anyone is watching testing, any reliability concerns from any team? And who you think is sandbagging the most?

The denting of the Ferrari nose is weird and doesn't seem intended. Think all the top teams are still sandbagging although they are very close to last year's qualifying times. Both Alpine and McLaren don't look very good right now but that might have to do with the rookie drivers.

Rather the US than the gulf. Ironically I think RBR are sandbagging. I cant remember which merc it was (W11? Think it was earlier) where they had to turn the engine down because they were so bloody fast with it at actual race spec. But yeah, think RBR are in that situation.

    1) Load the amount of weight I would deadlift onto the bench
    2) Unrack
    3) Crank out 15 reps
    4) Be ashamed of constantly skipping leg day

Looks like mercedes are more of the same from last season, was hoping they would have got their act together but seems not. Nothing stopping max from getting his "official" 2nd world championship now it seems.

Once the rightful Alonso hype dies down, this is going to be one fucking ass season lmao. Checo is not even remotely close to Max so won't even see a decent inter team battle. That RB is just miles ahead. Is this going to be a 20+ race win season from Max?

Sure 1 race so far but race pace so far is:

    1) RB

    (canyon)

    2) AM
    3) Ferrari
    4) Merc (yikes)

Alonso driving was a masterclass. And the Bahrain winner never won the WDC in the same season. It's hysterical that MB held on to that zeropod concept.
On Twitter a lot of folks with 44 in their username are calling this a boring season. Never heard them in the MB years with Mercedes ending 30 seconds in front of the rest and the starting grid was the end result.

Assuming you're talking about the first couple of years of hybrid, at least they had inter team battle lmao (2020 pretty much everyone agrees was boring). Checo is wank.

So was Bottas. The only competition Lewis had was Rosberg, who instantly quited after the 2016 title.

Not to be picky, but that Bahrain thing is false. Lewis has won it 5 times and and won the WDC in 4 of those (2014, 2015, 2019, 2020, 2021 (lose)).

You're right. Damn you Viaplay, lying to me!

I mean everyone knew that the MB era had real issues, that why we had a huge rules change to stop that kinda domination. Like it seems insane that a team can overspend, win the WC, then get a fine only, then lose tunnel time and still be faster than everyone else.

Not convinced the Aston is the 2nd best car. Ferrari were faster in qualifying and Leclerc was on for a clear 3rd place. Bahrain destroys tyres and the Aston seems to be kind to its tyres which gave it an advantage on a long run. By that same measure on other tracks the tyres might not switch on as well for Aston while the degradation will be lower which could help Ferrari.

Whole internet/media is acting like it's a done deal that the Aston is better, I'm not convinced. Red Bull are clearly ahead, Ferrari/Aston is uncertain. Either way we look at it, unless they end up with some disaster Red Bull are running away with this championship.
Probably running on a Pentium 4

Ferrarris 2022>2023 to fix compatibility issues also traded downforce for more straight line speed that ends up eating up the rear tires esp on desert tracks or other very hot tracks, it also strains the front in fast corners and aston nor redbull have any problem with the tire deg that lets them run soft soft hard vs ferrarri having to run hard twice as an example, now aston was being kept behind by slower cars and wasted alot of time to catch up, now i dont think fernando wouldve finished on the podium but a clear 4th close to leclerc if he did not retire.

redbull has all the characteristics of good tire deg, good speed, quick in all corners and can accelerate early, ferrarri kinda made their strenght worse by trying to compensate here.
now i do think ferrarri will have a slight edge on more conventional tracks but its down to be speculated till seen.

now astons car concept is 99% new for this season meanwhile ferrarri redbull and mercs all further developed their already existing concept and two of them seems to have taken steps back in this area for this season.

2nd Race of the season and Leclerc already suffering grid penalties for changed components.
