Talk about blindness or is it stupidity?

This looks far better than Diablo 3.

This makes the console version look like dogshit. Bad PR Blizz.

I don't understand this mass hysteria that's going on about hating this trailer and comparing it to D3. As someone who has followed the whole Diablo franchise, this feels like a massive exaggeration.

The community whipped itself in to a frenzy about how it was going to be "dark" and "broody". They're now shocked to discover that instead of it looking like your TV's backlight is broken constantly, that things are actually VISIBLE on the screen, and what a true tragedy they've found themselves in.

It's running on xbone and the dungeon is also an area in Diablo 3, so of course it looks like D3.

Consoles aside, it'll depend on your hardware. The issue with the graphics in D4 is that it's "darker" and more "broody" than D3, but there's a reason D3 did what it did: it was pretty engaging visually. The problem that some players experienced during the F&F alpha and closed beta was that, compared to D3, D4 got sharper textures but the palate got a little bland or drab. Doesn't help that quite often assets get very repetitive... this is especially true with dungeons, where you're going to see repeated textures and layouts/objectives that are fairly copy-and-paste. Trying to remember, but didn't they boast over 100 dungeons? Technically, it's true, however that's like saying there's hundreds of caves in WoW... but most caves in WoW (aside from a couple unique ones) are literally the same layout copy-and-pasted.

To be fair, a lot of this will be subjective to the player. There were people who thought D3 was too bright and colorful, so they may like D4's take on it. I can say for certain that the combat gameplay will likely appeal to most people if you're a fan of Diablo games, but again there is some subjectively between those who want to go slow-and-steady versus wanting to blaze through content. While the upcoming open beta may show things have changed, my impression from previous testing phases is that quite often it felt like the D4 team was taking inspiration from the direction of WoW... and not necessarily the good things about WoW. I suppose there is precedent, since a lot of spells and assets from D3 got repurposed in WoW over time, now we're just going the opposite direction.

Somewhat interesting interview, but the sound of button mashing/spamming is quite annoying.

And some people think the earth is flat... Being dumb isn't really a proof of anything.

When googling 4 letters is asking too much fact-checking.
