    Dilbert World.
I get what all the commotion over Dilbert is, but good lord, I haven't read that comic in nearly 15 years. I was honestly surprised it was still going.
Human progress isn't measured by industry. It's measured by the value you place on a life.

    Just, be kind.

Homeboy found out that unironically arguing Trump was a terrible person but also a genius and he really likes him and you have to really give it to him for how good he is at defrauding people that's what really smart people do and he likes him a lot, in 2016, was a great way to get a ton of free press. Negative press largely, but positive to a certain contrarian audience.

There are people that want DeSantis for President....might as well dig up Hitler...bring him back to life...and let him run.

The hell does that even mean.

As for "good clips" the sack of shit might get from this, who cares. Its not as if his constituency are concerned by facts or reality anyway...so he can say whatever delusional nonsense he wants and it would still be spun as a win.

I'm guessing it's supposed to be "protest" not "protect".

Yes it was meant to be protest.

I hardly know if either are actually effective forms of protest. Punish the bad states by withdrawing events, or punish the bad states by hosting events there that certain undesirables might not like too much. To the former, the governor or spokesperson simply says they will listen to their citizens instead of corporate pressure campaigns, and to the latter, the governor or spokesperson says they're thankful for the business and have a good time.

I can't see DeSantis winning if he runs in 2024.

The only reason he gets away with the shit he does is because the Florida Democratic Party is so weak and ineffectual.

Democratic Party's entire policy tends to be "Hey, we aren't Republicans!" Like that is really anything other than the base line I expect.
Peace is a lie. There is only passion. Through passion I gain strength. Through strength I gain power.
Through power I gain victory. Through victory my chains are broken. The Force shall set me free.

Unfortunately, as the Republicans continue to lose their shit, that selling point is going to be more appealing. Meaning that Democrats have even less motivation to get off their asses and actually do something... Because they know people will continue to vote for them to avoid the lunatics on the other side of the aisle.

It's essentially Maslowe's Hierarchy of Needs, applied to politics.

When one party is full-on "we're actively gonna commit intentional genocide" fascists, survival's the only consideration possible; you'll vote for anything that's not that, and you'll sacrifice other higher desires for the sake of that survival.

It's only when survival is off the table as a concern, where the Republicans as they currently are no longer exist as a functional party with any chance at representation, that you can really branch out and start considering higher-level debates about things like "economic growth" or "environmental protection" or the like. Gotta make sure the State isn't going to send your trans niece to a "regendering" camp they'll probably never survive, first.

It could have been worse. Michaelangelo's David could have been wearing a dress.
