Towelliee's Walk Through Commentary - Nefarian's End



Phase 1 - It seems like you have enough time to dish out dps on both Nefarian and Onyxia here. We didn't do so but we seem to murk down Ony in about 65-70 seconds. So next time around we are just going to burn her halfway then dps Nef for a while. You can range her lightning charge so that was easy.

Phase 2 - We had to split the raid into 3 grops for each platform. Each platform had an interrupt and a healer. We took down all the adds and the boss dropped down.

Phase 3 - Tank Nefarian along the outer wall. I made the mistake of tanking him along the inner circle. We didn't know what was coming. He seems to throw down a fireball into the ground that quickly spreads. Now from the video it seems if you actually touch the fire it will follow you. Maybe just RNG / coincidence. Only got it to 75%

The concept is great, but Phase 3 needs more going on (Fire and Kiting are the only mechanics), and phase 2 needs more urgency, you can basically take all day there.

Nefarian seems to be the easiest of the 3 available "endbosses" so far. Last phase also seems to be a bit random because of the circular fire spawns.

Anyone else feels that this fight is a little underrated? Like I honestly expected more from Onyxia, Nefarian is fine but Onyxia seems to be like a tank'n'spank. She stands there, breaths shadow fire? Does chain lightning that appears to be of a large radius but can be healed through... or not. Didn't see cleaves but there is a tail swipe.

i think it's fine mechanic wise, just may need some tuning

seems they want you to balance the dps on ony and nef so you don't get overwhelmed by ony lightning in p1 and do not get eaten alive by skellies in p3 as you won't be able to control them in p3, they may add some mechanic that will add more skellies in p3 maybe but other that that i think it's fine

In the second video, it goes from Nefarian talking immediately into a rap song, I thought it was still nefarian talking for a little bit saying "DONT STOP GET IT GET IT!"
