    Need help with Assassination

Lately I have been unable to improve my parses in the new raid-tier and therefore have reached a dead end. I am out of ideas as to where I can improve and what to do. I have mantle, boots & bracers at my disposal.

    My armory: worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/character/silvermoon/venarie

    Latest log: warcraftlogs.com/reports/vb6rDp3a2nwd7CPq/

I am unable to post links so sorry in advance!

Any feedback will be gladly appreciated!

I'm at work at the moment, so I can't fully review logs but for now:

You're wasting too much energy with Vendetta, use it when you're at -80 energy from your maximum.

Talking in overall log: You need to work on your uptime on Garotte & Rupture (they need to be at least at 95%)

You're wasting a lot of CP with Mutilate (overcapping), same thing with TB & KB but it's not hurting so much compare to Mutilate wasting CP

Sorry I can't say much right now, it's kinda hard while working

you are using the shoulders with nighstalker you should be using the crit window to spam envenoms not empowering your rupture. This is a huge lost in dps, you would only rupture if you play without shoulders.

also you should probably pre-pot and execute pot.

I will be analyzing the first Boss. https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports...&view=timeline

Your opener is already not correct. You want to keep during kingsbane envenom and SoT up and not cast rupture. You should always use vanish in order to "buff" you envenom not your rupture with the legendary shoulders and braces.

The opener should looking something like this:
Use Potion of Prolonged Power Icon Potion of Prolonged Power at 1 second on the pull countdown.
    Apply Garrote
    Cast Mutilate
    Apply Rupture
    Activate Vendetta
    Cast Toxic Blade
    Cast Kingsbane
    Activate Vanish
    Cast Envenom
    Cast Mutilate
    Cast Envenom

Next you should seriously work on your setup for kingsbane. It should do something like atleast 5 times the damange then in the log you posted. Keep an eye on boss timers in order to not waste your Kingsbane. During Kingsbane your priority should be to pump as much envenoms into it as possible while maintaining SoT.

If not your should seriously have weak auras setup for all this. In addition if you seriously struggle with your rotation I recommend this addon https://wow.curseforge.com/projects/aethysrotation

EDIT: I simmed your character: https://www.raidbots.com/simbot/repo...G9G2JASjwDcFAN
Please change every gem to mastery and not agility.

    Good Luck!

Not when envenom is a guaranteed crit

I just looked at the first boss
    1. you find the correct opener here: http://www.ravenholdt.net/assassination-guide/
    2. with shoulders you just want to press Envenom as much as possible
    3. you have to prepare a bit for Kingsbane, if your dots are about to fall off refresh them before Kingsbane
    4. During Kingsbane you want to keep up the Envenom buff up (you should have a timer for the buff)

Besides the wrong opener/vanish usage you're spamming buttons to much.
Rogues are not DHs or Warriors, you don't have to press a button every second, if you have the Envenom buff, your dots are up, you have like 40-80 energy and 4 cps.... just wait 2-3 sec before you Envenom. This way you will have a better uptime on your Envenom buff.
Again energy is potential damage, if you don't overcap you won't lose damage. Try to plan 2-3 finishers ahead.

I'm a levelling Rogue, and this in particular is what interests me most about Rogues, it's resource management, it's not about filling every global cooldown like with other classes.
