Is it better to team up or go separate on tmog runs?

So, we are two people, both plate users doing tmog runs together. Now would we get more loot if we did not play together and instead each do the old raid separate? Or does more loot drop if we are with two over doing it alone?

For example, the old Karazhan. Can we keep doing it together or are we getting only half the drops compared if we both just did it solo?

The only raids where you won't be splitting drops is Legion raids.

You'll have more drops if you go separately. You won't be able to trade, tho.

Going after a specific item, run with two+ people in the same raid. Just collecting everything you can, do it solo.
