All the devs trying to prevent us from blasting through content made it so that everything is RNG and feels pointless. Sure we have content forever to do now but it doesn't mean anything. In TBC you could blast pretty far ahead without gating until you hit atonement or rep requirements to do heroic dungeons. Even then you could spam run normals to unlock the rep for heroic dungeon key. Grind even harder and get your 5000g for your epic flyer, become one of the biggest no lifers on your server with epic flying mount. Yet it was worth it because then you could fly around mining or herbing while everyone else had the slow ass mount lol. Back then you could actually feel good and further ahead progressed by dedicating your 8-12hrs a day. Sure it was unhealthy and probably a waste of time looking back but that is what playing MMORPGs is all about. Nowadays you could play 8-12hrs a day , all you get is +15 higher item level than the average casual guy who plays 2-4hrs a day. Oh yeah you might have a special "score" raider io that makes you feel superior but in reality no one cares except for a select few.
BFA is so barebones that they have forgotten what it means to actually play a MMORPG. Now it's all about how they can milk users and get more monthly user logins on their investor calls. Bring back TBC-wotlk classes with their depth and use the BFA art. Cut down on the pointless WQs grind unless they are going to provide a currency that we can use to buy from vendor (valor/justice similar style).
