Challenge Mode : Play WoW like my disability has me play:
You will need two people, Brian MUST use the mouse for movement/looking and John MUST use the keyboard for casting, attacking, healing etc.
Briand and John share the same goal, same intentions - but they can't talk to each other, however they can react to each other's in game activities.
Now see how far Brian and John get in WoW.

I assure you, I have some idea what I'm doing with arcane.
https://www.warcraftlogs.com/charact...narion#zone=17
https://www.warcraftlogs.com/charact...21&spec=Arcane
I can also read a log.
https://www.warcraftlogs.com/zone/st...lty=4&sample=1 At 99th, 95th, 75th and max percentile arcane mage is the worst spec in the game in the past day, after the 6% buff.
https://www.warcraftlogs.com/zone/st...299&dataset=99 Dead last on Azshara.
https://www.warcraftlogs.com/zone/st...293&dataset=90 Second last on Za'qul.
https://www.warcraftlogs.com/zone/st...311&dataset=90 Second last on Queen's Court.
Six arcane mages have killed mythic Sivara. The highest is still 7k dps below the highest fire mage. And that's a purely single target fight.

Arcane doesn't have the tools to be good at anything but single target or semi-burst aoe in melee range and it's undertuned at that currently.
It'll get slightly better at rank 3 condensed life force, but probably not much. And Blizzard truly does not care.

They changed their philosophy to balancing specs, spec reworks and balancing raid trinkets this expansion, but I don't have any further details to share. Just based off how their patterns have changed. In general the BFA team has been way more hands off with this, in terms of bringing the top end down and the bottom end significantly up. At least in regards to PVE. They did some stuff with Azerite traits earlier in the xpac and also Essences are those knobs interlinked to specs but it's an across the board thing. Specs should still get attention. My prediction is they changed their philosophy both to the combat the feelings of churn and keeping developers more focused on future content production than in the present, so it was a big efficiency boost. Planned encounter nerfing has been more frequent this expansion. Usually several small waves of nerfs than big ones.

Yet another bunch of people who don't understand that perfect balance for every fight can not be achieved, and more importantly that any kind of balance is made around rank3 essences and not around the naked week 1-2 characters you guys initially saw. In other words, nothing has changed on MMOC
Any actual class balance updates are usually going to happen after the World First race has already been completed. Making major sweeping changes in the middle of what is the biggest event in current WoW is usually bad for business.
