searching for something in Premade Custom Groups for a particular word?

As in, say I want to quickly see if a "Soundless" group is up... pressing the macro button would quickly input and search in Customs Premades window to show if any are up.

Just to remove the hassle of opening window, typing it in and checking...

No, it is not. Unfortunately, Blizzard protected creating and finding groups to minimize easy realm hopping. Addons cannot even read group titles.

Yes but you have to use outside software and is most likely not allowed.

But... WQ Tracker gives you a prompt when entering a WQ area where you press a button to search for any groups of that WQ's name... o.O

IIRC, that's actually taking advantage of the button Blizzard provides for elite kill world quests, which is that little LFG eye button on the default quest tracker. WQT doesn't actually see the text for the world quest, just provides you with a secure clickable button. This only works for world quests.

The technology to obscure text from addons while you can see it has existed since battletags were added. A special text replacement format similar to colors, which is |K|k, provides data which then gets replaced when formatted with the real text, which obscures bnet real names. They then expanded on this to obscure group finder titles and then community chat, which temporarily spilled over into guild chat if you can remember addons being broken with guild chat for a few weeks early in BfA.

They removed the API for that because people were using it to group for WQ, Assaults and Invasions during Legion.
